Joint Problems?

Do you have Arthritis? Misaligned Fingers? Painful Joints? Bent Thumbs? My friend does, and it’s not pretty.

She doesn’t wear a Splint on it, just leaves it be

And most people know they have Arthritic Joint Rings, things that correct your finger and joints, but did you know that they actually make SILVER Arthritic Joint Rings?

They do…

And they’re AWESOME!

The thing I really LOVE about Silver, is the fact that it’s Metal, you can Bend it Easily to align your fingers, and it will LAST! Unlike the Plastic versions they sell…

Plus, being Silver, they actually look nice. They look like Real Rings! BONUS!

  1. I have to admit I’ve never seen these, in plastic, silver or otherwise. I suppose being involved with the “scalpel end” of things for so many years, they must never have crossed my radar!
They look interesting, if you have something mild enough to respond to something spring-like and supportive. And with the different designs, there’s plenty of opportunities to select something attractive, supportive, and possibly therapeutic as well.
My maternal grandmother was a wonderful Artist, an art teacher on the high school level, and could do beautiful, flawless, award-winning work in every conceivable medium. From pencil, charcoal, pastels, water colors, oils, sculpture, textiles and weaving, enameling and metalwork, pottery, photography, carving, just everything. She became the Art Department Chairperson for an entire metro school system back in the late 1960’s, until she retired 10 years later. But all through the later years of her career, she was plagued with rheumatoid arthritis in her hands. She ended up actually having the major knuckle joints – the ones you have to be concerned with getting a ring over when you size a finger – replaced with Silastic joints by a hand surgeon!
They are actually very anatomically similar to the ones used to replace arthritic toe joints! The biggest difference between the two is the size. The shape and purposes of course are very similar. She regained a great deal of function due to the surgery, lost a lot of pain and disability, and ended up having to get most of her rings resized because the knuckles were no longer so swollen. Her wedding rings had been altered by reshanking with an arthritic joint adjustable shank, and she just left those alone, because they fit her fine and the heaviest shanks had been used on them. (This is the grandmother married to the grandfather who was the jeweler, so of course he always took care of that kind of business for her! And nothing but the best for grandma!) But she had a few right hand rings that could be sized down, which she enjoyed a great deal! She was a tiny little petite thing, who probably wore a size 4 ring, and she didn’t like having to have anything too big! Except for my grandfather, who was 6’4″ tall, to her 5’1″, and well over 200#! They had to have very different cars for individual travel, because he needed to be as far back from the steering wheel as SHE needed to be up close! One car they traveled in together was “his” car and was usually a big Ford LTD with a 60/40 split bench seat. That way, she could pull up the seat if she needed to do the driving, and he could push his side back without having to travel with his knees up around his ears! Otherwise, grandma drove her Mustang! It was perfect for her, and she always got the stick shift model with a big engine! She could drive it too – she scared the daylights out of me one day when I was about 13 and she took me out shopping! Not because she *didn’t* know how to drive it, but because she DID! It was winter, over Christmas break, we were visiting them in Indiana from Virginia, and there was a lot more snow and ice on the roads than I was used to. We were fine of course, and she drove in that sloppy mess everyday, but I just wasn’t used to it. Ah she was a pip, all right! And I miss them both.
    Have a good one!
