You would be Amazed at how many People Google the Phrase “Can you Return an Engagement Ring?“.

In Fact, it’s Pretty Scary!

Do that many Couples Break up Before the Wedding and Need to Return the Ring? Or, is it just that she doesn’t like the Engagement Ring and wants something else?

YES, you CAN Return an Engagement Ring!

The Bad News is:

Your Chances of being able to Return the Ring are Slim!

Let me Explain…

Many Jewelry Stores offer a Return Policy on their Bridal Jewelry, Rings and Bands. Some Chain Stores (Like Kays, Zales and Helzberg), may offer up to 90-100 Days for a Full Refund… (Some of these stores at one time used to offer up to 6 Months! )

But, then again, some Jewelers, especially Independent Jewelers, may only give just 30 Days, 1 Week, or even just a Couple of Days to Return the Goods.

SO ACT FAST!

Every Store is Different, and I’m sure there are even a Few Jewelers who have NO Return Policy!

They may allow you to Exchange the Ring, or Trade up, but once they have your Money, they’re Keeping it!

But you probably knew all that Before you Bought the Ring, right?

I’m Hoping you Asked what their Return Policy was?

Here’s the Kicker…

Even if the Store DOES have a Return Policy… That doesn’t always mean they’ll take it back and Issue you a Full Refund!

The chances are, if it’s a Bridal Ring or Wedding Set, she’s Wearing it Already, and you’ve already VOIDED the Policy! The Store doesn’t have to Return Anything!

It’s True!

Read the Fine Print!

Many Folks don’t Realize that there are Disclaimers in the Return Policy that could make Returning an Engagement Ring Impossible.

Things like:

• The Ring was a Clearance Item
• The Ring was Sized
• The Ring was Engraved
• The Rings were Soldered Together
• The Center Diamond was Bought somewhere else (You Bought the Mounting from one Store, the Diamond from another)
• The Ring was Custom Designed
• Other Stores Repaired your Ring
• You don’t have the Original Paperwork or Certificate

REFUSE A REFUND

You see, any and all of these things could be Enough for any Jeweler to REFUSE A REFUND!

You can’t Blame them Either. Once a Ring is Returned, they can’t Sell it as New anymore. They have to Break the Ring apart and make a New one. It takes Time, Effort, Labor and Money!

So if it’s an Engagement Ring, YES, Chances are Good you’ve already had it Sized. It’s probably Worn and Scratched. And you may have even had it Engraved Inside the Shank “LOVE T & R“

So ASK Before you Leap!

Find out what you can and can’t do that will Affect the Return Policy.

Some Stores may still take it back. Others will give you a Hard Time and Stick to their Policy.

It’s Good to Know in Advance.

Because you’ll never know if she’ll say “I DO“, and you will never know when the Rent is Due, and your Girlfriend Ran off with the Milkman…
