Mmm, Poison!
Let’s talk POISON RINGS…
Poison Rings are a container that you wear, that opens up like a locket. The secret compartment on the top (hinges open, snaps closed) can hold many things… Most commonly known for hosting POISON!
They became popular in Europe during the sixteenth century. The ring was used to slip poison into an enemy’s food or drink, or, something that most people don’t think about… to facilitate the suicide of the wearer in order to escape capture or torture!
Cool, eh?
Because they’re used to carry many things, these types of rings have gone by many different names as well: Pill Boxes, Box Rings, Socket Rings, Funeral Rings, and Locket Rings…
Most people have seen poison rings used before in movies…
The Queen, or Rival, attempts to poison the King by secretly dumping toxic poison into their brew… Hence the King falls to his fate!
But did you know…
These rings actually DID exist!
It’s not just hollywood fable…
Poison Rings were real. They really did hold such things as poison, notes, loved one’s ashes… All sorts of cool and creepy things.
And poison rings are still available today!
Take a peek…
I think they’re awesome. But then again, I love all things morbid and scary.
Poison anyone?
Many Kings and important people have been killed in the past by poison… (allegedly)
Famous people like:

But there’s MORE poison…
“Now Listen…
Not a dime, I can’t pay my rent
I can barely make it through the week
Saturday night I’d like to make my girl
But right now I can’t make ends meet”
Okay… Not THAT poison… That’s the Rock Group Poison…
