It’s That Time Again…
The Time of Year for Me to Remind You to Spring Clean!
Spring Clean your Rings!
You see, People often put their Rings and Jewelry on (especially Engagement or Wedding Rings), and then they totally Neglect or Forget about them.
People Wear them for Months or even Years without and Cleaning or Inspection, and THAT’S SAD!
Sad, AND also COSTLY!
Because many times you’ll have a Bent or Broken Prong, or Stone, and never Realize it until you look down and see your Diamond’s GONE!
Ouch!
That my Friends, is NOT the Time you want to Notice such things.
You need to do it NOW!
RIGHT NOW!
In Fact, STOP Reading this, take your Rings off, get your Jewelry out, Grab a 10x Jeweler’s Loupe and Inspect your Prongs and Stones.
DO IT NOW!
I’m Waiting…
I always Advise Checking the Stones to see if they Tilt, Rock or Spin or Turn in the Mounting. If so, They Need Work!
Look at the Prongs well to see if they’re Lifted, Bent, Low, Flat, Cracked or even Broken Off.
And while you’re at it…
Check the Stones to see if they’re Broken, Chipped, Damaged or Cracked. If you Feel like you’re Questioning them, take them to a Jewelry Store and have them Professionally Inspected.
And Lastly…
Clean your Goods!
Dirt and Debris have a Nasty Way of Wearing Down your Gold, and the Durability and Integrity of your Prongs and Channel Walls.
Clean with with Hot Water, a Little Ammonia, and a Dash of Dish Soap.
Scrub them with a Soft Toothbrush underneath the Stones where Built up Layers of Dirt Reside. Dirt on the Bottom of your Gems makes them look Dull, Dark and Sparkle Less.
Pick yourself up a Jewelry Cleaner
Jewelers Advise that you get your items Cleaned and Inspected at least Twice a Year (Preventive Medicine)… and often, a Diamond Guarantee or Warranty will actually Require it!!!
I Generally Advise doing a thorough Cleaning MORE often, like Once a Month or at Least Bi-Monthly.
Just in Case!
Your Rings and Gems take a Ton of Abuse, and it’s better to be Safe than Sorry.
So Spring Clean your Rings! They’ll Look Better, Last Longer, and if they Need Work, don’t Hesitate, get them to a Trusted Jeweler for Repairs TODAY!
