THE 1ST THING YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT DIAMONDS!

WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT DIAMONDS?

Deceiving Diamonds?
The first thing you should know about Diamonds may be surprising. It's not the Quality! It's not the 4 C's, Cut, Color, Clarity or Carat Weight. It's not even the Certification or the Price. It's this fact:

Diamonds are Deceiving

It's the truth. To most people, at first glance, all Diamonds look similar. Unless the Diamonds have some major Cracks or Black Spots in them, all Diamonds will pretty much look the same.

This factor makes it hard for some people to understand why one Diamond is priced more than another Diamond of the exact same Carat Weight.

They all look alike! Once you realize that they look similar, but aren't, you can open yourself up to learn more about the Quality and the 4 C's.

Diamonds are small to begin with. Inclusions are even smaller. Not to mention the fact that most Inclusions or Flaws are so small they're Microscopic. You can only see them under 10x magnification. No wonder why they look similar.

Trust me. They're not!

All Diamonds are Different

They may have small differences, like a 2% larger Table or an extra Facet, but they're there. These little differences can add up big time. One Dot, one Pin Point, one Line is all it takes. There could be other things too, like a stone that has a large Culet, or one with a high Depth Percentage, or even a Diamond with Fluorescence, but there are differences.

These differences may not change the outer appearance of the Diamond much. You might be able to detect a little bit more Fire and Brilliance in the stone. But differences are there. More than likely, you will need to Microscope the Diamond to see. The Microscope does not lie. It will show you the inside World of a Diamond. The Inclusions, Nicks, Trigons, Pin Points, Misaligned Facets, Uneven Polish and Grain Lines. All these things add up.

Appearances are Deceiving

Two Diamonds side by side can be totally different in price. Thousands of dollars different. When this happens, it should be like a light bulb going off in your head. It should tell you that you do need to look harder. Delve deeper. Learn more. Understand the 4 C's and why there is a difference.

Diamonds aren't really Deceiving. We are only Deceiving ourselves into thinking that they all look alike. They aren't. Open your eyes. Study Diamonds. Diamonds are all unique, just like you, just like me.
