G.I.A. GRADES BAD DIAMONDS?

THE GEMOLOGICAL INSTITUTE OF AMERICA GRADES BAD DIAMONDS!

G.I.A. Grades Bad Diamonds?
Think about this for a minute: G.I.A. (The Gemological Institute of America) Grades BAD Diamonds!

Can you believe it?

You should. Because it's TRUE!

Not only does the G.I.A. Grade BAD Diamonds, but they also grade the worst possible Diamonds in the world!

Why?

Because of this simple fact:

G.I.A. Grades ALL Diamonds!

G.I.A. doesn't give out BAD Diamond Reports. In fact, their Reports are extremely accurate and precise. They have the most trusted Certificates in the industry.

But, if G.I.A. is grading a low Quality (BAD) Diamond, guess what? They are going to grade it low!

They Call it like they See it!

If the Diamond is bad, G.I.A. will say it's bad. If the Diamond is Good, they will say it's Good. It all depends on what the quality of Diamond is.

G.I.A. doesn't make the Diamond out to be Better or Worse than it is.

G.I.A. evaluates a Diamond for a ton of criteria:

The 4 C's, Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat Weight. They look at the Polish and Symmetry of the stone. They look at the Girdle and Culet size. They judge a Diamond by every Characteristic they can. They look at Fluorescence and other identifying marks, EVERYTHING!

Every Diamond is examined by 4 experts before a final grade is given. You really can't get a more precise evaluation of a Diamond than what G.I.A. can give you.

It is what it is!

If the Diamond is a poor quality stone, like I3 Clarity, M Color, they will list it on the report. G.I.A. (the founders of the 4 C's) prides itself in the fact that they are honest and authoritive. A Bad Diamond is a Bad Diamond. Period!

My only Question is:

Why Certify Bad Diamonds?

If a Diamond is the lowest quality there is, why bother Certifying it in the first place?

Certificates Cost Money! (A couple of hundred dollars) So why do it if it Costs that much?

The main reason why Jewelers Certify these low quality stones is...

To make the Diamond look better and sound better!

When customers see that a Diamond is G.I.A. Certified, they quickly think...

"This Diamond MUST be Good!"

WRONG!

Jewelers can Certify any Diamond they want: Good or Bad!

G.I.A. doesn't choose what Diamonds they Certify. They get paid to Certify any Diamond that is sent them. So if a Jeweler sends in a poor quality Diamond, they will get a poor quality report back. Simple as that.

Jewelers know if a Diamond has a report with it, especially G.I.A., the Diamond has a better chance of selling!

G.I.A. Doesn't Grade Bad!

G.I.A. Grades it like it is.

If the stone is bad, that doesn't reflect on the report itself. The report only puts that quality of Diamond in writing.

Bad Diamonds = Bad Reports!

Be happy that G.I.A. doesn't Sugar Coat it.

With G.I.A., you get what you pay for!
