THE PRICE OF DIAMONDS STICKER SHOCK!

OVERCOMING STICKER SHOCK AND THE PRICE OF DIAMONDS!

Diamond Price Sticker Shock!
Everyone gets Sticker Shock! The price of Diamonds can always make one gasp loudly and say "WOW".

One guy said to me "Did I say Diamond? I meant Dime-One!" lol

It's true! The price of Diamonds is NOT cheap!

One couple just about had a heart attack looking for a 30th Anniversary Diamond. They only paid $350 for the Diamond she now wore. So to them, the inflated dollar amount was staggering.

But then again, look at the price of Bread, Stamps, Cars and Homes over the years... Everything has escalated.

First Time Diamond Shoppers

First time Diamond Shoppers react like a freight train hit them when they hear "This Diamond is $10,000" They are quick to say "Adios! I can't afford this place!" and high tail it out the door...

The truth is, if they had shopped and compared quality (Cut, Color, Clarity and Carat Weight) all around town they would see, it's just the going rate of Diamonds.

It's not High.

It's not Low.

It's just the price you pay.

The higher the quality, the more expensive the Diamond will be. Easy as that. You get what you pay for!

How to overcome Sticker Shock

There is no way to totally overcome that first price jolt... You have to start somewhere.

When you hear "Thousands" it could take you a couple of weeks to digest. Like it or not, buying a Diamond could cost you a pretty penny. What can you really do about it? Take a deep breath and jump right in.

Why are Diamonds priced so high?

Easy! They last a lifetime!

A Diamond bought today will NEVER age. It will never grow old, wear down, erode, tarnish or decay. Everything else you buy in life will: Cars, Homes, Clothing... Ever thing. But NOT Diamonds! They stay brand new forever!

Hence, the high price tag.

Divide $8000 up into a lifetime and you'll see, it's really not that bad.

What will help ease the pain???

Doing your Homework

Shop and compare Jewelers, Diamonds, Quality, Policies and Prices (Use my Diamond Buying Checklist).

It may be a lot to learn, but the more prepared you are, the better you will be at making a good buying decision and getting the perfect Diamond for you.

If you go into this purchase blindly, you will only end up with a cheap, low quality Diamond that you'll probably regret. You don't want that to happen.

Do your homework! This doesn't mean you have to spend an arm and a leg. It means, you should buy the best Diamond that you can possibly afford.

To do this, you must learn about Diamonds, the 4 C's, and Certification. They are vital and will help you understand the difference between a $2000 Diamond and a $6000 Diamond.

Buy what you feel Comfortable with

Only spend what you feel comfortable spending. You don't want to over do it. Spend what makes you happy. Pay cash if you can. Put it on an Interest Free Charge Account. Leave it in layaway until you need it. Nothing says you have to go broke buying the Diamond you love!

You may want to...

Wait to Buy

If you are in this relationship (marriage) for a lifetime, waiting another year or so to buy the ring won't really matter much. It's just a materialistic possession, it doesn't take the place of love.

Take your time with the purchase. If sticker shock hits you that bad, maybe you're not ready to buy a Diamond?

$6000 (average price for a good quality One Carat Diamond) is a lot to spend. Make sure you're really ready.

Do your homework.

It's not the price that's giving you sticker shock...

It's just not being prepared.

Learn about Diamonds.

Understand Diamonds.

Then, that price tag will make much more sense. :)
