We put your Jewelry in the Ultrasonic Cleaner. All your Rings, Pendants, Bracelets and Earrings go in the brew. We turn it on so they can clean and come back up front so we can wait on you.
We show you all the hot new items. We show you the Clearance Items! (70% Off is a steal!) You try on Rings and Gemstones and get excited by the all latest trends and styles.
You may even purchase a piece or two... Great! We ring you up. Box your goods. Finish up your Warranties and Appraisals and you're good to go.
You leave with the bag, happy and smiling and thinking about your new Jewelry...
15 minutes later we realize your Jewelry is still in the Ultrasonic Machine.
It's sad, but true. I can't tell you how many times this happens... Tons!
Out of sight, out of mind!
We get distracted just like you. (What did I do yesterday?)
Customers usually don't get too far down the road before they notice this. Only a couple have actually gotten all the way home before they find out. (That's a drag!)
Sometimes I'll remember instantly and fly out in the parking lot flagging them down...
The good thing is, at least your Jewelry will be really clean! :) Some Jewelry needs it too. Some Jewelry is so dirty it could sit in the Cleaner for hours.
Only once, that I recall, did we actually forget about the Customer's Jewelry until the next morning. Oops! I can't believe the Customer didn't call us before then.
You see, it's just so easy to get distracted and forget. Our lives are busy. We all have things on our mind, places to go, people to see... I have to leave myself notes just so I can remember what to do!
The bottom line is: Don't forget your Jewelry! The Ultrasonic Machine becomes a crazy Lost and Found for your valuables.
We have people call us up in a frenzy. They give us their Name and we hold the Jewelry in the Vault for them to pick up. And here's the funny part... Some people never come back to pick it up. It's true! We have items that have been in the safe for over 6 Months. Wow!
In fact, we have a Ladies Diamond Wedding Set that's been locked up for over a Year... ha! Explain that! Crazy isn't it? I don't get it! Why doesn't she come back to pick it up? You'd think sooner or later you'd need your Wedding Rings... Hmmm?
So don't forget your Jewelry. It's in safe hands, but they should be in YOUR hands!
And if you don't pick them up within the next year, I'm charging you rent! lol ;)
