DON'T BUY TRIO SETS!

LET'S HOPE TRIO-SETS NEVER COME BACK INTO STYLE!

Don't buy Trio Sets!
The number one reason to never buy a trio set is this.. all 3 rings put together would only cost you $100. If that isn't the biggest red flag of them all. Now granted, some sets were thicker 10kt gold, and cost more. I even saw some 14kt sets here and there, but they were climbing up the monetary scale. You could pay ridiculous prices for some of those ugly cheap rings.

But Women still love the IDEA of matching bands. I don't know why. It's not romantic! Let me tell you a secret here girls, Men don't want matching rings! You see, Women want flashy Diamonds and shimmering Gold and beautiful designs... and Men want a plain gold band! Really! Very few Men want Diamonds. And the furthest thing from their minds is finding one that matches her showpiece. That does nothing for him. It's all for the Woman. It's the whole getting engaged and married aura.

Let me put this whole thing into perspective.

DON'T BUY TRIO-SETS!

Run away from them. I know they still exist, thankfully they are very scarce now, but they are still out there. You'll recognize them for their matching designs and then take a really good look at the Ladies Engagement Ring. The Engagement Ring will have a big Diamond in the center, OOPS, forgive me, that's not a Diamond, it's a gaudy plate of thick White Gold with chunky prongs built up around it. And in the center of that huge plate is a small piece of chalk. YEP! That thing that looks like salt in the middle is actually the (cough) Diamond. The monstrous white gold head that it's setting in is called an "Illusion Head". Ohhh, it gives the illusion of a bigger Diamond. Get it?

These designs were usually very poor. Brushed Gold Bands that would rub off after 10 hours of work. These rings were not built to last. Now I may have been a little hard on these Trio-Sets, but the truth hurts doesn't it? So here's another illusion for you. No matter how much money you could save on these Trio-Sets. No matter how good matching wedding bands until eternity sounds. No matter how much the Gold sparkles and says "Buy Me!" DON'T! Keep on shopping. Get her a ring that she'll love and want to wear forever. And Ladies, buy him a ring that's manly looking. Something that will be able to take a beating and still hold up. Men are rough on their jewelry. Get him something he'll be proud of.

So matching or not. Diamonds and Gold (or Platinum) will always look good together. And maybe, just maybe if we get lucky, Trio Sets will all but disappear!
