GOOD JEWELER OR BAD JEWELER?

HOW TO TELL IF YOUR JEWELER IS A GOOD JEWELER OR A BAD JEWELER!

Good Jeweler vs Bad Jeweler!
All Jewelers are Good Jewelers! Right? There is no such thing as a Bad Jeweler! Right? Huh! That's almost like saying that all humans are perfect and we all know that's furthest from the truth.

Fact is, Jewelers make mistakes just like everyone. Jewelers can accidentally Chip a Diamond, or Bust your Emerald. They can Lose Rings and Double Bill you. Things can happen. Get over it! Things happen to everyone in every type of business!

But how do you know if you're dealing with a good or bad Jeweler? I believe the answer lies beyond that question. It goes deeper than what the Jeweler DID at the time. Because like I said, every Jeweler at one time has chipped a stone or lost a Ring. That in itself doesn't make them a good or bad Jeweler. Instead, it's how they deal with the situation that determines good from bad.

Every Jeweler is always your best friend when you walk in the Jewelry Store. This is true for any type of business. The Salespeople are all smiling and eager to assist you. Everyone's all laughing and having a real good time. Why wouldn't they? They're Selling Jewelry and taking your money. As long as the cash register rings, they will put on a smiley face. It may be fun. They may educate you. They may even make purchasing a Diamond Engagement Ring memorable. But that doesn't make them a good Jeweler. It's the problems and how they solve them that makes them a Good Jeweler, one that stands out from the crowd.

When you go back to them with a concern or problem, you'll soon see their true colors. Ever try to return something? Ever get a rude salesperson with a crappy attitude? It's almost like a 2-sided coin. They're happy to take your money, but curse you for doing exchanges or returns or even fixing things. If you go back with a broken prong or when your white gold turns yellow, this is when you'll really see if you're dealing with concerned Jewelers. Jewelers that are really looking out for you. These type of Jewelers do what it takes to keep their customers happy.

You'd think businesses would know that it's too hard to get customers in the first place, let alone keep them. If the Jeweler helps you, if they return your Jewelry with no problems, if they fix broken jewelry and any issues with the same enjoyable attitude that made you buy from them, then they are A+ in my book.

You never will truly know if a business is a great business until you see how they handle their problems.

If they give you a hassle, if they give you attitude, if they make excuses, if they shrug you off, if they treat you like crap, if they're rude, if they turn their backs on you... Then walk away!

Walk away, never look back, and never go back! Word of mouth is an effective tool, but actions equal results. I say never give them any more of your business. Period! That's the only way bad Jewelers will get the message.

Find a Jeweler that WILL handle sales and returns and problems and concerns without batting an eyelash. The Jeweler that can consistently shine under pressure, handle issues, and still keep you happy, will keep you coming back for more! Because that's the mark of a good Jeweler!
