People are busy. Life is busy. We are always rushing around, doing errands, picking up laundry, groceries, going to soccer practice, fixing dinner,

We tend to forget some of the little things in life, like:
Dentist's Appointments
Filing our Taxes
Oil Changes
Jewelry Inspections
Actually, those things aren't so little are they? They can cost you hundreds, if not thousands of dollars if you fail to follow through.
So today, I'm here to remind you. Today, I'm here to say:
STOP!
Put down what you're doing. Gather up your Rings, Bracelets, Earrings and Pendants, and make your way to the Jewelry Store.
It's Jewelry Cleaning and Inspection Day! (Not Official - but it should be!)
Really! Your Jewelry needs some TLC. They need maintenance just like a Car does. A regular Inspection and a tune-up a couple of times a year can keep your Prongs tight, your Gold Shiny and your Diamonds from falling out of the mounting.
It can save you a lot of money!
Preventive Medicine
Now some of us do take our rings in for Inspection. Some people are really good at this and even mark it on the Calendar. I applaud you (both of you).
For others, it's out of sight out of mind. Unless a Prong gets snagged on a sweater and bent back some people never notice their rings until the damage is already done. This is sad. Especially when all they had to do is swing into a Jeweler for 5 minutes to get it Cleaned and Inspected.
It really doesn't take long at all. We check your Prongs for wear and tear. We make sure they aren't Broken, Cracked or Bent. We make sure your stones are tight. We give the Gold or Platinum a polish. We stick them in the Ultrasonic Cleaner and they're done. Your Jewelry looks brand new again. Easy as that!
Some people do this on a regular basis. Some people have to; Their Diamond Warranties (from corporate Jewelry Stores) force them to bring their Jewelry in twice a year for Cleanings and Inspections. These warranties are a pain, because if you miss 1 single visit, it can VOID your Warranty. Not good! So whatever you do...
Don't miss that visit!
Chain Stores are good for giving out great Diamond Warranties, but they are also good for Voiding them. Be warned! Don't let it happen to you. Get your rings Cleaned and Inspected on time.
Cleaning is FREE
The good thing is, it doesn't cost a penny to have your Jewelry Inspected. It's free! Just a couple of minutes of your time is all you have to do. Bring them in. We'll give them a once over just to be sure everything is okay and you're good to go. Don't put it off any longer. Cleaning them makes your Jewelry look like a million bucks and it keeps your Diamonds safe and secure!
Peace of Mind
Inspections give us peace of mind. With as much abuse as Jewelry gets, I'm surprised it holds up as well as it does. 2 Visits a year may not be enough. That's why I always recommend visiting a Jeweler at least 3 times a year or more. It doesn't hurt to have them checked more frequently. Anytime you're at the Jeweler, let them check your items. Anytime you bump or hit your rings or prongs, bring them in. Better safe than sorry.
