\nI thought I would be Interesting to List off the Top 12 Reasons Why People Shop at Jewelry Stores.<\/p>\n

\nYou might think it’s a No-Brainer!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nFor Jewelry<\/strong>, right?<\/p>\n

\nBut, that’s not the Overall Picture I’m trying to Paint.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s WHY<\/strong> People go to the Jewelers. There’s usually a Very Specific Reason why.<\/p>\n

\nAnd here they are…<\/strong><\/p>\n

1) Engagement Rings<\/h2>\n

\nEngagement Rings really are the #1 Reason<\/strong> why Jewelers are in Existence. Engagement Rings and Wedding Bands. <\/p>\n

People are always getting Engaged and Married (and Divorced<\/strong>), and it’s the Beautiful Sets and Solitaires that keep Jewelers afloat.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s this Bridal Industry that really Fuels Loose Certified Diamond Sales<\/a> and Classic Metals like: White Gold, Yellow Gold and Platinum.<\/p>\n

\nEngagement Rings are #1.<\/strong><\/p>\n

2) Christmas<\/h2>\n

\nChristmas is the biggest Jewelry giving Holiday there is<\/strong> (And Insane from December 10th-24th). Stores Run out of Items like Crazy. Things Fly out of there like Hot Cakes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nFancy Colored Diamonds<\/strong> were at the Top of the Gift Giving List these Past Two Christmases (2011-2012). <\/p>\n

\nBut really, anything Sparkly and Beautiful will do the Trick.<\/p>\n

\nThere is nothing like opening up a Small Package under the Colored Lights of the Christmas Tree. You’ll make her Melt!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nChristmas is Good for any type of Jewelry: Watches, Gemstones, Diamond Merchandise, Chains, Bracelets, Anklets, Chokers, Broaches, Cocktail Rings…<\/p>\n

\nIt’s Endless what will go in those little Jewelry Boxes!<\/p>\n

\nIs that a Tear in her Eye?<\/p>\n

\nProbably So! HO HO HO!<\/strong><\/p>\n

3) Batteries<\/h2>\n

\nA Good Amount of People who Venture into Jewelry Stores do so to get the Cell in their Watch Replaced<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nWatch Batteries<\/a>\"\" are Best Left for the Experts<\/strong>, the Jewelers who have the Specialized Tools<\/a>\"\", like Case Back Removers, Tiny Screw Drivers, Tweezers, Gasket Sealers, Wrenches, and of course, the tons of Batteries in every Shape and Size.<\/p>\n

\nBatteries brings in a lot of People in the Door to get them done while they Browse and Wait (like Saturdays<\/strong>). You could be changing Watch Batteries for Hours on end.<\/p>\n

\nWhat Time is it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nTime to get a New Battery… and a New Pendant<\/strong> while you’re at it! :)<\/p>\n

4) Repairs<\/h2>\n

\nRepairs on Jewelry are Endless! The Baby Grabs your Chain and Pulls<\/strong>… It Breaks in 2 Pieces. <\/p>\n

\nYou Smack a Prong on the Filing Cabinet and it Bends Sideways…<\/p>\n

\nThe Head on your Diamond gets Worn Down and Snags. It needs to be Retipped!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nRepairs like Straightenings, Tightenings, Solderings, New Shanks, and Sizings are an Every Day Occurrence. <\/p>\n

\nJewelry takes a lot of Abuse<\/strong> and thankfully, they can be Repaired or Fixed by a Goldsmith to make look Brand New again.<\/p>\n

\nIf the Clasp Breaks on your Pendant, where do you go?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThe only place to go…<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThe Jewelry Store!<\/p>\n

5) Cleaning and Inspections<\/h2>\n

\nJewelry looks Best when it’s Cleaned and Polished. <\/p>\n

\nTaking your Rings and items in 2-3 times a Year<\/strong> to have them Cleaned and Inspected keeps your Jewelry up-to-date (many Stores also Require this Routine for their Warranty<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\nIt allows the Jeweler to Maintain your Jewelry Properly!<\/p>\n

\nPreventive Medicine!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nIf your Diamond is Loose, they can Catch it before it Falls out and gets Lost.<\/p>\n

\nIf your Prong is Cracked, Jewelers can Repair them before they Snap off all together.<\/p>\n

\nPeople should get in the Habit of taking their items into the Store to have a Professional Inspect them, even if they don’t think there’s anything Wrong with them<\/strong>. You never know!<\/p>\n

\nBecause one Missed Cleaning could become One Missed Certified Diamond!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nAnd that Sucks!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nOne person once said to me, Get in the Habit of having your Rings Cleaned when Daylight Savings Time<\/strong> Begins and Ends… I think that’s a Pretty Good Idea!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nBut if I were you, I would do it MORE! <\/strong>Every Couple of Months or so. Bring it in JUST IN CASE! <\/strong><\/p>\n

6) Birthdays<\/h2>\n

\nBirthdays bring a lot of people in. Jewelers are always the Perfect Place to Stop for the Perfect Birthday Gift.<\/p>\n

\nThat’s the Average Watch, a Good Practical Every Day Watch that will usually last one about 7 Years<\/strong> or so. Depending on how you Wear it, and how Rough you are on your Jewelry of course.<\/p>\n
