If you walk into any Jewelry Store today, and you look at Diamond Engagement Rings<\/strong>, I’m sure you’ll hear a lot about Clarity!<\/p>\n

You’ll Hear:<\/h2>\n

\n“This Clarity is TOP of the Line!<\/strong>“<\/p>\n

\n“All the Inclusions are Microscopic Only!<\/strong>“<\/p>\n

\n“VVS Clarity is Extremely Rare!<\/strong>“<\/p>\n

\n“You won’t find a Better Clarity than this!<\/strong>“<\/p>\n

\n“There are NO Black Spots in our Stones!<\/strong>“<\/p>\n

\n“It’s about as Perfect as you can get!<\/strong>“<\/p>\n

Sound Familiar?<\/h2>\n

\nThe Salesperson will show you where the Clarity falls on the GIA Clarity Chart<\/a>.<\/p>\n

They’ll smile and say:<\/h2>\n

\n“This is the Diamond to BUY!<\/strong>“<\/p>\n

But is it?<\/h2>\n

\nYou see, what they Fail to tell you is that the Clarity is only ONE of the 4C’s<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

\nThere are 3 more that need to be addressed: Cut<\/a>, Color<\/a>, and Carat Weight<\/a>!<\/p>\n

\nSo while the Diamond may be a VVS or a VS in Clarity<\/a> (Which is Impressive<\/strong>), that doesn’t Necessarily Mean that it’s a Good Diamond to Buy!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nIt Fairly well may be, but until you Check out the Rest of the Diamond, you’ll never know for sure. <\/p>\n

\nYou could be Spending More Money<\/strong> than need be!<\/p>\n

For Example…<\/h2>\n

\nLet’s look at some VS Clarity Diamonds<\/a>…<\/p>\n

\nHere are 2 VS Diamonds that Sound Awesome… I mean, they ARE VS Clarity!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nBut, something is Not Right<\/strong> about them. The CUT and COLORS are LOW!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Take a Peek…<\/h2>\n

Even though I will say that the Price of $3,480<\/strong> for a 1 Carat VS1 Diamond is INSANE!<\/strong> That’s a Steal! <\/strong><\/p>\n

\nI don’t think I’ve ever seen a Price that low for a VS Clarity<\/strong> Diamond! WOW!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nAnyway… <\/strong><\/p>\n

\nNow let’s look at 2 more VS Clarity Diamonds that DO have Better Cuts and Colors<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

\nThey look GREAT!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nIt’s True that some Customers and Salespeople really Believe that Clarity is Everything! <\/p>\n

The BE ALL!<\/h2>\n

\nThey Truly Believe that if the Clarity is HIGH, that’s the only thing that Counts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nBut as you can see, it’s not!<\/strong> It’s the combination of a Great Cut, a Great Color, and of course, a Great Clarity that does it.<\/p>\n

\nCARAT WEIGHT, CLARITY, COLOR, CUT, CERTIFIED is Optional here… the Bigger CARAT WEIGHT, CLARITY, COLOR, CUT, CERTIFIED the Better!<\/strong> ;)<\/p>\n

Shop and Compare<\/h2>\n

\nYou could place an SI2, F Colored Diamond with an Excellent Cut, up against a VS1 Diamond, J Color, Good Cut…<\/p>\n

\nAnd the SI2 will BLOW IT AWAY! <\/strong><\/p>\n

\nEspecially if the VS1 Diamond has Fluorescence<\/a>! (Which it does – Medium Blue<\/strong>)<\/p>\n

\nSo it’s not all about Clarity! Clarity is only one Piece of the Puzzle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Look at Cut<\/h2>\n

\nCut Plays the Biggest Role in how Beautiful a Diamond is<\/strong>, and how much it Sparkles! <\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThen, look at a Good Color (Pure White Diamonds ROCK!<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\nAnd then, and only then, look at Clarity<\/strong>! (With your Eyes, and then under a Microscope<\/a> or a 10x Jeweler’s Loupe<\/a>!)<\/p>\n

What do I Recommend?<\/h2>\n

\nI Advise sticking with SI1 or Higher<\/strong>… Just because the Flaws get Invisible to the Naked Eye, you’ll need 10x Magnification<\/strong> to see them.<\/p>\n

\nPut your Money more into Cut (Excellent or Very Good Cuts<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\nAnd yes, get as Big of a Diamond as you can Afford! (1.00 Carats are the Dream Diamond <\/strong>Size!)<\/p>\n

\nLike this SI1, E Color, Diamond with an Excellent Cut, Polish, and Symmetry<\/a>! <\/p>\n
