\n“Under What Circumstances Should I NOT Buy A Diamond?<\/strong>“<\/p>\n

\nHA!<\/strong> That one made me Stop and Think for a Minute.<\/p>\n

\nIf I were to tell someone to NOT Buy a Diamond<\/strong> somewhere, it would have to be for these 3 Reasons:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Don’t Buy Pre-Mounted Diamonds<\/li>\n
  2. Don’t Buy a Diamond that’s NOT Certified<\/li>\n
  3. Don’t Buy it if it Sounds Too Good To Be True<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    <\/strong><\/p>\n

    Shocked?<\/h2>\n

    \nMany People are Probably Shocked that I didn’t Pick Some Sort of Clarity and Color<\/strong>. Or even Fluorescence<\/strong>… But no Matter the Color, Clarity, or even Many Diamonds with Fluorescence, they will still look Good<\/strong> Regardless of the Quality as long as the Diamond doesn’t have Massive Eye-Visible Inclusions<\/strong>, a Strong Yellow <\/strong>Hue, or one that’s Really Dark<\/strong>, Dull, Hazy or Lifeless.
    \nSo let’s Dive in and Learn More…<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1) Don’t Buy Pre-Mounted Diamonds<\/h2>\n

    \nShort and Sweet, it’s Hard to see Everything inside a Stone if it’s already been Mounted<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    \nYou can’t see Around or Under the Prongs or Mounting. Plus, you will get Darkness and Color from the Mounting, Reflections of the Prongs, and it could be Covering up a Chip<\/strong>, Break or Tons of other Flaws.<\/p>\n

    \nMountings Make it Hard to see How Deep<\/strong> the Stone is, How Shallow<\/strong> the Diamond may be, Where the Inscription Numbers<\/strong> are, and if the Culet’s been Chipped<\/strong>… <\/p>\n

    \nThey also make it Extremely Difficult to Judge Clarity and Color<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    \nA Mounting just Prevents you<\/strong> from seeing the Entire Diamond and what you’re really Buying!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \nSo if you’re Buying a Diamond, especially a Diamond Solitaire<\/a> (Single Stone), then Buy it LOOSE First!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \nView the Stone with 10x Magnification<\/strong> (with a Jeweler’s Loupe<\/a> or a Microscope<\/a>). Check out the Inclusions, the Color, the Girdle for Chips or Nicks or Fractures.<\/p>\n

    \nAfter you Finally Decide on the Diamond, then you can Look at Mountings and have it Set. :)<\/p>\n

    2) Don’t Buy a Diamond that’s NOT Certified<\/h2>\n

    \nIf the Diamond isn’t Certified<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

    FORGET IT!<\/h2>\n

    \nDon’t Buy it!<\/strong> Why would you Spend $2,000, $3,000, or even $8,000 on a Diamond Engagement Ring<\/a> and NOT <\/strong>have a Professional Diamond Report to back it up?<\/p>\n

    \nIt would be SILLY!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \nMake sure you Buy a Diamond LOOSE<\/strong>, and make sure that the Diamond is Certified by either GIA (THE BEST)<\/strong>, or AGS <\/strong>(Second Best). <\/p>\n

    \nI Don’t Recommend any others. No EGL, No IGI… Nothing!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    NEVER!<\/h2>\n

    \nGIA are the Official Leaders<\/strong> in the Industry. They are the Best Diamond Graders in the World. They Wrote the Book on the 4C’s<\/strong> and they came up with the Grading System used Today!<\/p>\n

    Seriously!<\/h2>\n

    \nThere is Nobody Better to Grade your Stone than GIA!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \nWhen they say a Diamond is VS2 Clarity, E Color, Excellent Cut<\/a>… You Better Believe it! :)<\/p>\n

    \nI Trust GIA Fully<\/strong>, and so Should YOU<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

    \nIf you want to Guarantee the Quality of the Stone, Stick to GIA!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Ask for GIA Certified Diamonds Only<\/h2>\n

    \nAccept Nothing Less!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    3) Don’t Buy it if it Sounds Too Good To Be True<\/h2>\n

    \nThe Store down the Street Sells the Exact Same Diamond as everyone else, but they are Selling it for $2,000 LESS!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    IT SOUNDS GOOD!<\/h2>\n

    \nBut is it a Better Deal?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \nProbably NOT!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \nIt’s Too Good To Be True!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \nYou see, Diamonds Hold their Selling Value<\/strong> Very Well. Most Jewelers use a Sort of Blue-Book for Pricing Diamonds (Called a Rapaport Price List<\/a>) that tells them what that Particular Type of Diamond should Sell for<\/strong>. So the only reason for a Company to be Thousands Less<\/strong> are; <\/p>\n

    \n1)<\/strong> They are an Online Store (Like James Allen<\/a>) that Has No Overhead<\/strong>, or <\/p>\n

    \n2)<\/strong> There is something else Wrong with the Stone that’s causing the Price to be so Cheap!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \nOtherwise, they would Match everyone else’s Price<\/strong> and Make More Money on the Stone.<\/p>\n

    You Have to Scrutinize the Stone Well<\/h2>\n

    \nSomething is Bringing the Price Down:<\/p>\n
