I Don’t Get It!<\/h2>\n

\nThe Term “10KT GOLD<\/strong>” is something that’s always Bothered me.<\/p>\n

\n(KT<\/strong> is an Abbreviation for “Karat”, NOT <\/strong>“Carat”)<\/p>\n

Why is it Called GOLD?<\/h2>\n

\nThink about it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n10kt is only 10 Parts Gold<\/strong> (24 Parts is Pure Gold<\/strong>), and the other 14 Parts<\/strong> are just Alloys like Base Metal, Silver, Copper…<\/p>\n

\nJust like 14kt Gold<\/strong> is the Opposite<\/strong>. That’s 14 Parts Gold and 10 Parts Alloy.<\/p>\n

\n14kt has MORE Gold than Alloys<\/strong>, so it seems Appropriate to call it GOLD<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

\nJust like 18kt<\/strong> is 18 Parts Gold and 6 Parts Alloy.<\/p>\n

\nI have No Problems calling them Gold<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

But 10KT?<\/h2>\n

\nIt doesn’t make sense…<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThere is MORE Alloy<\/strong> in the Mix than there is Gold. <\/p>\n
