\nYou Read the Description and see that the Diamond is an SI1, E<\/strong> (just using this as an Example). <\/p>\n

\nIt says the Cut of the Diamond is “Very Good<\/strong>“, and that the Diamond is Certified!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nWell then, that Settles it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

CERTIFIED IS GOOD!<\/h2>\n

\nCertified means that it’s Official, Accurate, and Honest!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nPeople See and Hear the word “Certificate<\/strong>” (Especially GIA Certificate<\/strong>) and think that Everything is on the Up and Up<\/strong> (Deep Sigh of Relief).<\/p>\n

\nThe Quality is Guaranteed<\/strong>. The Diamond is Real<\/strong>. You Aren’t Getting Ripped Off<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

WHEW!<\/h2>\n

\nSadly, People get Scammed Everyday with this “Certificate<\/strong>” Trick<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

As in this Very Real Scary Situation Here:<\/h2>\n

\nMark emails me about a Diamond Engagement Ring<\/strong> that was being Sold on Gumtree.com<\/a><\/p>\n

\nSee the Screenshot<\/strong> Below of the Ring in Question:<\/p>\n

\n\"Certified<\/p>\n

All the Photos of this Ring were Really, Really Bad<\/h2>\n

\n\"Certified<\/p>\n

\nThe Description Sounded Alright (even though it said “Emerald Cut<\/strong>” and it was clearly a “Princess Cut<\/strong>“… Could be an Honest Mistake<\/strong>…). Plus it did say that there were “DIAMOND REPORTS<\/strong>” (Shown by Request).<\/p>\n

So what’s So Wrong with this Ring?<\/h2>\n

\nEVERYTHING!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThis Seller is a Scam Artist, Fraud and Liar!<\/strong> For if you Scroll down, you’ll see that she’s listing TWO Diamond Rings<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

\n\"Diamond<\/p>\n

So I check out the Second Ring being Sold…<\/h2>\n

\n\"Diamond<\/p>\n

And the Closeups were just as Bad and Blurry<\/h2>\n

\n\"Certified<\/p>\n

\nWhat’s Funny is the Fact that the Descriptions <\/strong>for these Rings are Nearly IDENTICAL!<\/strong><\/p>\n

(If that isn’t a HUGE Red Flag)<\/h2>\n

\nSo Mark sends her an Email Asking to See the Certificate<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

This is the Report he got back:<\/h2>\n

\n\"Certificate<\/p>\n

\nObviously, this is NOT a Real Certificate<\/strong> issued by GIA<\/strong>. It’s not even Close!<\/p>\n

\nIt’s a Cropped Example<\/strong> Image, and not only is it an Example…<\/p>\n

IT’S MY EXAMPLE!<\/h2>\n

\nThey Stole this Image from my Website Post Here<\/a> about Comparing Diamond Prices Online!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nYou’ll see that they Altered the Info<\/strong>. Added in a Date and a Value<\/strong> (Which GIA Never EVER Does!<\/strong>)<\/p>\n

\nPlus, some of the words “Diamond Grading Report<\/strong>” are even Erased<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

\nCOME ON!<\/strong><\/p>\n

HA!<\/h2>\n

\nThey even went so far as to Leave my Copyright Info<\/strong> at the bottom of the Image (Which is how Mark Found me).<\/p>\n

\nPlus, the Description says the Ring is Certified<\/strong>, but this Fake Certificate<\/strong> is only for the Center Stone (Didn’t she say she had REPORTS?<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

So the RING is NOT Certified!<\/h2>\n

\nWould this really FOOL Anyone?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I Hope Not!<\/h2>\n

\nMark Confronted the Seller<\/strong>, and this is the Exact Dialog that took place:<\/p>\n

\nAnd YES<\/strong>, that is her Real Email<\/strong>. I thought twice about actually including it, but if you’re going to try to Scam People with a Diamond Ring that isn’t Certified, then you really should Pay the Penalty<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nAs you see, GIA FOLEY<\/strong> (I’m sure that isn’t her Real Name) got really Nasty and Mean with Mark and told him to F Off!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nGumtree<\/a> even shows you where GIA FOLEY Lives<\/strong> (just so you can stay away from her)…<\/p>\n

This Really Happened!<\/h2>\n

\n(Next time she should Remove my Copyright so I don’t get Involved!<\/strong>)<\/p>\n

\nLuckily Gumtree took care of the Situation Quickly and Removed this User and all her Listings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nBut that Won’t Stop her<\/strong> from Trying again. After all, it only takes a Minute to Sign up with a Different Email Address<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nThese Same Exact Rings<\/strong> are probably listed somewhere right NOW<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

Buyer Beware!<\/h2>\n

\nIt’s a Warning to us all… Scammers Exist Everywhere!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThere are Tons of Unscrupulous People in the World all looking for a Sucker to Buy their Low Quality (Not Certified) Piece of Crap!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nSo even though a Listing or Auction says “Certified<\/strong>“;<\/p>\n

It May Not Mean Squat!<\/h2>\n

\nWhen Buying Diamonds Online, or even in a Jewelry Store, it’s Important to know what a Real Diamond Report looks like<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nThe only TWO Diamond Reports<\/strong> that I Recommend are GIA and AGS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Nothing ELSE!<\/h2>\n

\nThere are Many Different Versions<\/strong> of these Diamond Reports over the years too, so it’s Wise to become Familiar with them<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
