\nWHAT?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nIf that Title Confuses<\/strong> you, you’re not alone…<\/p>\n

It’s a Crazy Concept to Comprehend!<\/h2>\n

\nYou see, when I say “There is no ‘D’ in Diamonds<\/strong>“, of course I’m not talking about the actual word “Diamonds<\/strong>“, those have Double D’s<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

\nWhat I’m talking about is Diamond Color!<\/strong><\/p>\n

D Color that is<\/h2>\n

\nAnd Before I go any further, let’s take a Moment and Peek at the Diamond Color Grading Chart<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

\n\"Diamond<\/p>\n

It starts at D<\/strong>, and goes all the way down to Z<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

Now, back to that D!<\/h2>\n

\nD is at the Very Top of the Color List<\/strong>. It’s the Best Diamond Color<\/strong> there is in the World<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Nothing Beats it<\/h2>\n

\nD Color is Pure White<\/strong>, Ultra-Bright<\/strong>, Very Rare<\/strong>, and Very Expensive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nBut, I’m here to tell you…<\/strong><\/p>\n

That’s not Entirely True…<\/h2>\n

\nThere is NO True D Color!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nImpossible<\/strong>, you say?<\/p>\n

\nIt’s the Truth. Think about it. Since there is No Color Higher than D (It truly is the Cream of the Crop<\/strong>), and Color is always a Range of Hues and Body Tones<\/strong> (Like Everything Born in Nature), then D too has a Color Shift and Range. As an Example<\/strong>, look at G Colors… A G Colored Diamond could Lean more Towards an F Colored Stone<\/strong>, or it could lean the other way and look more like an H<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

D is the same way…<\/h2>\n

\nNot all D’s will look Identical<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Some will be Whiter!<\/h2>\n

\nSome will Appear just a Tad Bit Brighter in Hue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nThat’s because Color is Subjective<\/strong>, and it may not be 100% Consistent<\/strong>. Just when you think you’ve seen the Whitest Stone, there’s another<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nThat’s why there is No Real D when it comes to Diamond Grading<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

D Varies<\/h2>\n

\nSo if there’s No True D, then how are D Grades Determined?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nEasy!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nAny Diamond Color that’s Higher than an E<\/strong>, Automatically becomes a D<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

\nThat’s exactly what Diamond Graders look for. They Compare a Diamond’s Color to a Master Set of Stones<\/a>, and if the Diamond in Question is Whiter than an E Colored Diamond, then it gets the Grade of D<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nIn Fact, those Master Stones don’t even have a D Color<\/strong>… The highest they give you is E. So If it’s Whiter than E… It’s a D!<\/strong><\/p>\n

No If’s, And’s, or D’s<\/h2>\n

\nWeird, isn’t it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nBut it all Makes Good Sense<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nD is D… As long as it’s Better than E<\/strong>. :)<\/p>\n

\nAnd that’s how you Grade D Colored Diamonds<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
