\nDid you know that the 4C’s have an Order of Importance?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nSome Customers think that the #1 Priority<\/strong> is Carat Weight<\/strong> or Clarity <\/strong>(After all, who wants to see Flaws <\/strong>in their Diamond?)<\/p>\n

\nAnd even when you look at a GIA Diamond Report<\/strong> you may think that.<\/p>\n

\nTake a Peek at how GIA lists the 4C’s<\/strong> on a Certificate…<\/p>\n

\n\"GIA<\/a><\/p>\n

\nSo it’s Easy to Understand<\/strong> what you’d think is most Important.<\/p>\n

\nAnd Jewelers tend to Push Carat Weight and Clarity<\/strong> more than anything (it’s the Easiest Topic to Grasp<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\nBut they’re still NOT the Most Important C<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

\nIn Fact, they’re #3 and 4<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Most Important C is CUT!<\/h2>\n

\nThat’s what you need to learn the most<\/strong>. Concentrate on Cut, because Cut is what Determines the Beauty and Sparkle<\/strong> of a Diamond. <\/p>\n

\nCut brings a Diamond to Life and makes it Dance in your Eyes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nCut is Proportions<\/strong>, Angles, Percentages<\/strong>, Depth, Width<\/strong>, Girdle Thickness, Crown Height<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

\nCut is Everything!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nLet’s go back and look at a GIA Diamond Report<\/strong> (There are many Different Versions), and you’ll notice that CUT takes up more Room<\/strong> on a Diamond Report than any other Characteristic…<\/p>\n

\nAnd the Best CUT Grade to get<\/strong>, is of course, the Excellent <\/strong>Cut. But if you truly want the BEST OF THE BEST<\/strong>, then you’ll also need to get an Excellent Cut Grade in Polish AND Symmetry<\/strong>! Those 3 Grades of Excellent make a Triple Excellent Diamond<\/strong> (also called Super Cuts, True Hearts<\/strong>, Hearts and Arrows, Hearts on Fire<\/strong>, Signature Ideal…)<\/p>\n

\nThat’s the Best Cut you can Buy<\/strong>, and it will then make the Clarity look Better <\/strong>(for it will Mask Inclusions<\/strong>), it will make the Color look Better (it’ll look Brighter and Whiter<\/strong>), and it’ll make the Carat Weight Appear Bigger<\/strong> (all that Blinding Sparkle and Beauty<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

It’s all about the Cut<\/h2>\n

\nAnd if you’re Buying AGS <\/strong>(The Second Best Diamond Report you can Purchase), then look for a Cut Grade of “AGS Ideal 0<\/strong>“, as shown below…<\/p>\n

\nSo what is the Actual Order of the 4C’s<\/strong> in Importance?<\/p>\n

  2. COLOR<\/li>\n
  3. CLARITY<\/li>\n
  4. CARAT WEIGHT<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    <\/strong><\/p>\n

    \nColor is #2 because you can see a Visual Difference<\/strong> between an Off-White<\/strong> (G-H-I-J) Diamond and a Pure White<\/strong> (D-E-F) Diamond.<\/p>\n

    \nI always Recommend Pure White Diamonds<\/a>. <\/p>\n

    \nPure White Stones tend to really stand out and “POP<\/strong>” in the Mounting! They look Stunning<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

    \n\"Pure<\/a><\/p>\n

    And Then Comes Clarity…<\/h2>\n

    \n\"Diamond<\/p>\n

    Clarity is the 3rd C, and for a Very Good Reason<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

    \nAlmost Every Clarity of Diamond will “Face Up<\/strong>” the Same (With the Naked Eye – Not using a Loupe<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

    \nAny Clarity SI1 or Higher are all Identical in Appearance<\/strong> unless you View them Under 10X Magnification<\/strong> (10x Microscope<\/a> or a Jeweler’s Loupe<\/a>).<\/p>\n

    \nThe only Clarity that Visibly looks Different is the I Clarity Diamonds<\/strong>, because these are the Stones that you’ll see Cracks<\/strong>, Chips, Clouds<\/strong>, Lines, and Carbon Spots<\/strong>. As so…<\/p>\n

    \n\"I<\/p>\n

    But SI1 or Higher, NOPE<\/strong>, you’ll see none of those. They’ll look Clean and Not Stop Light or Sparkle. They’ll Shine like a Disco Ball!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Carat Weight<\/h2>\n

    \nCarat Weight is Last on the Importance List because Size really is a Mute Point<\/strong>. It doesn’t matter what Carat Weight you Buy (Although 1.00 Carats are the Dream Carat Weight<\/a>). Just Buy whatever Carat Weight you can Afford<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

    \nAnd Strive for SI1 <\/strong>(or Higher), Pure White<\/strong>, and Triple Excellent Cuts<\/strong> and that Diamond will Sparkle like a Million Stars in the Sky.<\/p>\n
