What are Fire Opals?<\/h2>\n

\nThis Month (October) has the Interesting Birthstone Opal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nNow I’m NOT a Big Fan<\/strong> of the Standard White Opal<\/a>\"\", but I do like Blue Opals<\/a>\"\", Mosaic Opals<\/a>, and Fire Opals<\/a>\"\".<\/p>\n

What are Fire Opals?<\/h2>\n

\nI’m Glad you Asked!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nFire Opals are Opals that generally have an Orange<\/strong> Body Tone to them with Plenty of Red Play-Of-Color<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nThey are Quite Different in Appearance than a Normal Opal<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

\nFirery and Rare<\/strong>, you won’t find a lot of them on the Market.<\/p>\n

\nMost people have no Idea that Opals could look Orange<\/strong>, and this Orange Hue is mostly caused by Iron Oxide<\/strong> and other Impurities Mixed with the Stone upon Creation.<\/p>\n

The Colors of Fire<\/h2>\n

\nBut Orange isn’t the only Color of Fire Opals.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nYou’ll also find them in Yellow, Brown, or even Red<\/strong> (Which are sometimes called “Cherry Opals<\/strong>“)<\/p>\n

Crazy, eh?<\/h2>\n

\nThey’re Rare, but still Popular<\/strong> to use in High-End Designer Jewelry! (Just like the Zultanite Gemstone<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\nTheir Color is Outstanding<\/strong>, and most Fire Opals are Very Clean<\/strong> (Inclusion Free), Transparent<\/strong>, and Weirdly enough, FACETED!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Faceted Opals?<\/h2>\n

\nYou normally NEVER<\/strong> see Opals Faceted like other Gemstones (Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald…), they’re usually Cabochon Cut<\/strong> or Domed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

But Fire Opals, because of their Transllucent Properties<\/strong>, makes them the Perfect Orange Stone to Facet and Style.<\/p>\n

\nThe very first time I ever saw a Fire Opals<\/a>\"\", I was Fascinated<\/strong>. I had no Idea it was Opal<\/strong>. Since then, I’ve seen many other Orange Gems<\/strong> like:<\/p>\n

\n<\/p>\n
