So many people do this…<\/h2>\n

\nThey get a wrist watch as a gift<\/a> (Christmas, birthday, anniversary, graduation…), and they try it on<\/strong>. wear it<\/strong>. test drive it<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

Even if they don’t like it.<\/h2>\n

\nThey feel “obligated<\/strong>” to wear it for a day or two. After all, it was a gift. They don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nFinally they tell the person they don’t like it<\/strong> and want to return it or exchange it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

No problem, right?<\/h2>\n

\nWRONG!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nFor when they try to return the watch<\/strong>, they see that they have voided the return policy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

HOW?<\/h2>\n

\nBecause the brand new watch now has small scratches on it<\/strong>. Scrapes <\/strong>on the clasp. Slight wear and tear<\/strong> that now makes this watch “used<\/strong>“. <\/p>\n

In other words; impossible to resell.<\/h2>\n

\nAnd trust me, there is no way to wear a watch without scratching it. For the first time you put your arm down or rub up against something, the metal gets scuffed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nWhich means, you CAN’T RETURN IT!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nYou are now stuck with a watch you don’t like<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Congrats.<\/h2>\n

\nIt blows.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But it’s the truth.<\/h2>\n

\nIf you think you may not like the watch. Or think you may want something else… Don’t wear it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nSure you can take the watch out of the box (carefully<\/strong>) and lay it on your wrist<\/strong> to see what it looks like…<\/p>\n

\nBut don’t wear it<\/strong> (flopping around because it’s too big) for the entire weekend before you decide “IT’S NOT ME<\/strong>“…<\/p>\n

\nFor the only way a jeweler can resell a watch as new<\/strong>, is if the watch is new.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nIf you scan any jeweler’s return policies<\/strong>, you’ll see they are very clear and very specific about the condition <\/strong>of the watch…<\/p>\n

\nSo the next time you get a watch as a present<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

STOP!<\/h2>\n

\nDo you really like it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nDecide if you are truly in love<\/strong> with the watch before you scratch it up…<\/p>\n

\nOr you’ll be hearing:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“NO! You can’t return it.”<\/h2>\n

\nAnd that’s something that you’ll just have to live with<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
