Does it <strong>sparkle<\/strong>? Is the ring <strong>pretty<\/strong>? <strong>Dainty<\/strong>? <strong>Elegant<\/strong>? <\/p>\n<p>\nShopping like this is apparent in <strong>jeweler&#8217;s ads<\/strong> and <strong>catalogs <\/strong>as well&#8230; they actually train people to buy <strong>solely based upon looks<\/strong>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><h2>Looks and Price<\/h2>\n<p>\nFor some ads give <strong>zero description<\/strong> of the quality. <strong>They show nothing but the price<\/strong>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\n<strong>Like this example below&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jewelry-secrets.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Engagement-Ring-Shopping-Is-All-About-Price.jpg\" alt=\"Engagement Ring Shopping Is All About Price\" title=\"Engagement Ring Shopping Is All About Price\" width=\"640\" height=\"400\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14573\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jewelry-secrets.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Engagement-Ring-Shopping-Is-All-About-Price.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.jewelry-secrets.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Engagement-Ring-Shopping-Is-All-About-Price-300x188.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><h2>You get Nothing!<\/h2>\n<p>\n<strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No Clarity..<\/li>\n<li>No Color&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>No Cut&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>No Certification&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>No Symmetry&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>No Polish&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>No Fluorescence&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><h2>Zilch!<\/h2>\n<p>\nAnd often stores will just <strong>categorize solitaire diamonds<\/strong> and say that the color is &#8220;<strong>Near Colorless<\/strong>&#8220;, or that the inclusions are &#8220;<strong>Eye-Clean<\/strong>&#8220;&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\nAnd so people learn to shop this way. They trust the jeweler. After all, <strong>they are the professionals<\/strong>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\nSo jewelry stores are <strong>teaching people<\/strong> that <strong>this is what you shop for<\/strong>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\n<strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Pretty Ring<\/li>\n<li>A Good Price<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\nPersonally, <strong>I would never buy a diamond this way<\/strong>, nor recommend it.
