You can see if the stone is chipped, cracked<\/strong>, and you can see the facets, girdle thickness, if the culet is chipped<\/strong>, and you can read the laser inscription<\/strong> on the side of the stone (if it has one). You can also read the stamps or marks<\/strong> inside your ring, and you can check underneath the stones to see if they’re clean. You can use a loupe for gemstone identification<\/strong>, too see if the stone is cz or diamond. You can check the pleochroism <\/strong>of the stone, whether the stone is a doublet or triplet<\/strong>… You can also use it on watches to read battery numbers<\/strong>, see if your links have cotter pins or screws<\/strong>… It’s endless what you can see when you magnify your jewelry 10x<\/strong>. They allow you to pick up gemstones and diamonds<\/strong> (especially if you use Locking Diamond Tweezers<\/a>), they allow you to pick up screws and pins<\/strong> and insert them into your watch links, or remove the screws from your watch movement when you change your battery<\/strong>. They also help you chip off crud<\/strong> that’s built up on the underside of your diamonds (only diamonds<\/strong>, any other gemstone might scratch).
