But I do suggest trying to stick with at least <strong>G-H or higher<\/strong>. If possible. Because when you get into whiter diamonds, especially the &#8220;<strong>Colorless<\/strong>&#8221; ones, you&#8217;ll get into stones that are extremely white, and will make the diamond look <strong>bigger, better, and brighter<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p><h2>It&#8217;s actually Amazing!<\/h2>\n<p>\n<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jamesallen.com\/loose-diamonds\/round-cut\/?CaratFrom=1.00&#038;CaratTo=30.00&#038;Color=F,E,D&#038;Clarity=SI1,VS2,VS1,VVS2,VVS1&#038;Cut=Ideal,Excellent,TrueHearts&#038;PriceFrom=&#038;PriceTo=&#038;Sort=Price,%20DefaultOrder&#038;ViewsOptions=Images&#038;showAdvanced=show&#038;Polish=EX,ID&#038;Symmetry=EX,ID&#038;Lab=GIA&#038;Flour=None,Negligible&#038;DepthFrom=45.0&#038;DepthTo=80.0&#038;TableFrom=50.0&#038;TableTo=83.0\">D-E-F diamonds are breathtaking!<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\nNext up&#8230; <strong>Clarity:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\n<!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Diamond Clarity<\/h2>\n<p>\n<strong>Diamond clarity<\/strong> is the tiny little imperfections that are present in a diamond. <strong>Almost all diamonds have them<\/strong>. They are like <strong>birthmarks <\/strong>on people. They&#8217;ve been inside the stone since the stone was created <strong>billions of years ago<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\nInclusions can be black spots, lines, fractures, chips, cloudy spots, pin points&#8230; or tons of other flaws that show up <strong>inside<\/strong> a stone (as well as on the <strong>surface<\/strong>, or outside of the stone).<\/p>\n<p>\nThe better, or cleaner the stone gets,<strong> the more rare and expensive it becomes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><h2>There are 11 Clarity Grades in all:<\/h2>\n<p>\n<strong>FL, IF, VVS1, VVS2, VS1, VS2, SI1, SI2, I1, I2, I3<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\nI clarity grades (<strong>I1, I2, I3<\/strong>) are the <strong>lowest grades<\/strong> you can buy. They are popular because there&#8217;s an <strong>abundance <\/strong>of them, and they are <strong>CHEAP<\/strong>. But they <strong>WILL <\/strong>have <strong>eye-visible inclusions<\/strong> in them (seen with the <strong>bare eye<\/strong>). This is why I don&#8217;t recommend them. <\/p>\n<p>\nWhen you get into the SI range (<strong>Slightly Included<\/strong>) or higher, you get into better clarity diamonds, where the flaws are <strong>microscopic only<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\nThat&#8217;s why I advise purchasing a diamond that&#8217;s at least <strong>SI1 or higher<\/strong> (SI2 diamonds are <strong>borderline and questionable<\/strong>&#8230;) <\/p>\n<p>\nAfter all, you don&#8217;t want her to be seeing <strong>black spots<\/strong> for the rest of her life. <strong>Do you?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\nAnd since SI1 diamonds have <strong>microscopic flaws ONLY<\/strong>, you could actually place them side by side with a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jamesallen.com\/loose-diamonds\/round-cut\/?CaratFrom=0.95&#038;CaratTo=15.00&#038;Color=H,G,F,E,D&#038;Clarity=IF,FL&#038;Cut=Ideal,Excellent,TrueHearts&#038;PriceFrom=&#038;PriceTo=&#038;Sort=Price,%20DefaultOrder&#038;ViewsOptions=Images&#038;advancedParameter=CaratSliderBottom&#038;showAdvanced=show&#038;Polish=EX,ID&#038;Symmetry=EX,ID&#038;Lab=GIA&#038;Flour=None,Negligible&#038;DepthFrom=45.0&#038;DepthTo=80.0&#038;TableFrom=50.0&#038;TableTo=83.0\">Flawless diamond<\/a>, and you&#8217;d never know the difference (unless you used a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B005MZ7BQY\/?tag=jewelry-secrets-20\">Microscope<\/a> or a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B00EXPWU8S\/?tag=jewelry-secrets-20\">10x Jeweler&#8217;s Loupe<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><h2>See all the clarity grades below&#8230;<\/h2>\n<p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jewelry-secrets.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Diamond-Clarity-Chart.jpg\" alt=\"Diamond Clarity Chart\" title=\"Diamond Clarity Chart\" width=\"640\" height=\"775\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15121\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jewelry-secrets.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Diamond-Clarity-Chart.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.jewelry-secrets.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Diamond-Clarity-Chart-248x300.jpg 248w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\nNext up&#8230; <strong>Carat Weight:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\n<!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Diamond Carat Weight<\/h2>\n<p>\nThe carat weight, is how much the diamond weighs. Which can be a little confusing to some, with all the <strong>percentages and fractions<\/strong>&#8230; But it&#8217;s easy to comprehend if you just think about carats like<strong> MONEY!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\nThink of a <strong>one dollar bill<\/strong>. That breaks down to 1.00 ct, or <strong>100 pennies<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>\nNow, think of a <strong>1 carat diamond<\/strong>. A 1 carat diamond is 1.00, and that breaks down into 100 points. <\/p>\n<p><h2>Just like Green Backs!<\/h2>\n<p>\nSo if you think about a <strong>1\/2 carat<\/strong>. Think 50 points, or .50 carat.<\/p>\n<p>\n<strong>1\/4 carat<\/strong> is 25 points, or .25 carat.<\/p>\n<p>\n<strong>3\/4 carat<\/strong> is 75 points, or .75 carat.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe <strong>dream carat weight<\/strong> is 1.00 carat, or course. But, the <strong>average carat weight<\/strong> for an engagement ring diamond, is only <strong>.38 carats<\/strong>. Which isn&#8217;t very big at all!<\/p>\n<p><h2>But here&#8217;s a quick tip&#8230;<\/h2>\n<p>\n<strong>BUY SHY!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\nIf you&#8217;re thinking about buying a 1.00 carat diamond. <strong>DON&#8217;T!<\/strong> Buy a couple of points <strong>SHY<\/strong>. Buy<strong> 94 or 95 points<\/strong> instead. Because buying a few points <strong>under the mark<\/strong>, will actually save you tons of money, and you&#8217;ll still get a diamond that <strong>faces up like a 1 carat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><h2>Sweet!<\/h2>\n<p>\nThis is true of all carat weights. Instead of buying a 1\/2 carat, <strong>buy 44 points instead<\/strong>.
