Sideways?<\/h2>\n

\nA growing trend<\/strong> that I’ve been seeing in the jewelry industry, is the sideways cross.<\/a><\/p>\n

\nI actually had a bunch of women in during christmastime that ordered one. It’s cool.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What is the Sideways Cross?<\/h2>\n

\nSimply put, it is a cross<\/strong>. A normal Latin cross<\/strong> that’s been turned horizontal<\/strong> (Instead of the normal vertical).<\/p>\n

\nIt’s rather interesting to look at, and it makes you take a second glance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

But what is the significance?<\/h2>\n

\nWell, a lot of people in the stores say it’s just a designer’s preference<\/strong>. A style<\/strong>. A statement<\/strong>. Something unique and different, that’s all.<\/p>\n

But others say there’s a more deeper meaning…<\/h2>\n

\nThey say that it’s a token of Jesus\u2019 finished work<\/strong>. Salvation. After all, he did lay down his cross<\/strong> for mankind. <\/p>\n

\nOthers say that it’s in reference to the Nordic cross<\/strong>. Scandinavian countries show the cross sideways on their flag<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nSome also say that it’s a portrayal of the earth and life itself. Humanity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nStill, some do say that’s it’s a darker image, one of a fallen cross and failed Christianity.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

\nSo the sideways cross can really be whatever you want it to be. After all, we all have our own diverse opinions<\/strong> and view points<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Some will find them offensive<\/strong>, others will respect them<\/strong> and regard them as sacred. <\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s all in what you believe.<\/h2>\n
