SUPER DIAMOND…<\/h2>\n

\nIf you’re like me, you were up on the 14th of November<\/strong> (2016) to witness the SUPER MOON!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nActually, it was an “Extra Super Moon<\/strong>“, meaning it was Bigger and Brighter<\/strong> than any moon in the past 68 years<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

\nBut still, it didn’t look much bigger than normal<\/strong>, although I will say…<\/p>\n

It definitely looked BRIGHTER!<\/h2>\n

\nEspecially since I was in Maui<\/strong> at the time, and because there is less Light Pollution<\/strong> there, it really did look Spectacular<\/strong>. Light a Flashlight <\/strong>in the Night Sky…<\/p>\n

Take a peek…<\/h2>\n

But you know what…<\/h2>\n

\nThis Super Moon is a Very Good Lesson in Diamonds<\/strong> too!<\/p>\n

\nFor it PROVES <\/strong>a couple of strong points about the Characteristics of Diamonds, and it makes it all come on like a Light Bulb<\/strong>. Really!<\/p>\n

So here we go…<\/h2>\n

\nFirst off, the SIZE…<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThis Super Moon was 30% BIGGER<\/strong>… Which sounds a lot, but with no Comparison in the Sky<\/strong>, it looked pretty much like the same size as every other moon. Right?<\/strong> That’s what everybody says, and I tend to agree<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Diamonds are the same way!<\/h2>\n

\nIf you have a 1.00 Carat Diamond<\/a>, and a 1.30 Diamond<\/a>, the Bigger Diamond will look a tad bit bigger<\/strong>. It should. But, if you had a One Carat Diamond in your Engagement Ring<\/strong>, and Swapped it out for the Larger Stone, chances are NO ONE WOULD NOTICE<\/strong>, unless you pointed it out to them. <\/p>\n

\nGranted, some people might question it, because it looked somewhat different<\/strong>, but size in Diamonds is really hard to distinguish<\/strong> with the bare eye. You’ll need a much bigger size<\/strong> in order to observe it.<\/p>\n

This is why Upgrading is Difficult!<\/h2>\n

\nSome people only want to go up a couple of points<\/strong>, but going up 10-20 points<\/strong> is pretty useless, you’ll be spending money on something that’s not visible<\/strong>, nor noticeable. <\/p>\n

So why bother?<\/h2>\n

\nYou’re better off to go up at least 50% more <\/strong> (like 1.50<\/strong> Carats) in order to WOW<\/strong> people. <\/p>\n

Sad, but true!<\/h2>\n

\nAnd then we have the Brightness<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

\nNo denying, EVERYONE <\/strong>said the moon looked Brighter<\/strong>. And it did. Insanely BRIGHT<\/strong>… (Which is Amazing, since it was only 14% Brighter!<\/strong>)<\/p>\n

\nBut it is something that you can see<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

\nAnd just like Diamonds, if your Diamond is Brighter<\/strong>, people will KNOW<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

\nAnd luckily, there are a couple of ways to make your Diamond Brighter<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

1) CUT<\/h2>\n

\nThe Cut of a Diamond directly impacts<\/strong> the Brilliance and Brightness<\/strong> of the Stone. The Better the Cut, the more that Puppy will Shine!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nSo purchasing a Diamond with an Excellent Cut<\/strong>, which is the BEST <\/strong>there is, will make a huge difference<\/strong> visually.<\/p>\n

\nAnd, if you really want it to be “SUPER<\/strong>“, or in this circumstance “EXTRA SUPER<\/strong>“, then get yourself an “EXTRA SUPER CUT<\/strong>“!<\/p>\n

\nExtra Super would be “Excellent Grades<\/strong>” in all three <\/strong>areas:<\/p>\n

Cut, Polish, & Symmetry!<\/h2>\n

\nThose 3 Grades<\/strong> are the Cream of the Crop<\/strong>. They give your Diamond those lovely Hearts and Arrows<\/strong> (Also called True Hearts<\/a>) that are Beautiful and will make your Diamond Dance like a Million Stars in the Sky<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

It truly is SUPERB!<\/h2>\n

\n(GIA Certificates<\/strong> list all these Grades right on the Diamond Report<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\nAnd to give you an Example of a Super Diamond<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

\nTake a look at this…<\/a><\/p>\n

2) Keep your Diamond CLEAN!<\/h2>\n

\nThe Cleaner your Diamond is<\/strong>, the more it will Sparkle<\/strong>. When your Diamond gets dirty, full of Lotions, Hair Sprays, Soaps, Cat Food, it will NOT be Brilliant!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Clean it!<\/h2>\n

\nBuy yourself an Ultrasonic Cleaner<\/a> or Steam Cleaner<\/a>, and it will Sparkle like the day you bought it!<\/strong><\/p>\n

A few more pointers…<\/h2>\n

\nWhile I’m at it, I’ll also bring up the other 2 C’s<\/strong> that we haven’t touched on…<\/p>\n

Color and Clarity!<\/h2>\n

\nAs you can see, from the Super Moon, because it was so BRIGHT<\/strong>, it also looked much WHITER<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

\nThe same goes with Diamonds<\/strong>. The Whiter the Stone, the Brighter it will appear<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nThere are 2 ways<\/strong> to accomplish this…<\/p>\n

\n<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Buy a Pure White Diamond.<\/li>\n
  2. Buy Triple Excellent Diamonds<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    <\/strong><\/p>\n

    \nPure White Diamonds<\/strong>, which are D-E-F Colors<\/strong>, are AWESOME<\/strong>! They are Pure White<\/strong>, Very Bright and will absolutely stand out!<\/p>\n

    \nCompare a Pure White Diamond, to an Off-White Diamond<\/strong> (Like a Near Colorless; G-H-I-J<\/strong>) and you WILL <\/strong>see a difference.<\/p>\n

    It’s Breathtaking!<\/h2>\n

    \nAnd if you get a better Cut<\/strong>, like the Triple Excellent Cuts, then it not only will make the Diamond Sparkle more<\/strong>, but it will also make it look Whiter<\/strong> and BIGGER <\/strong>too!<\/p>\n

    \nCut is Outstanding<\/strong> for what it does to a Diamond!<\/p>\n

    \nLastly…<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Clarity!<\/h2>\n

    \nThe Moon is Full of Craters<\/strong>, Mountains, Debris<\/strong>, Flags, and of course, the Man in the Moon<\/strong>… But that doesn’t keep it from looking Beautiful!<\/p>\n

    Diamonds too!<\/h2>\n

    \nSometimes a little Inclusion<\/strong>, a Small Line, a Cloud, a Pin-Point can give your Diamond Character and Personality<\/strong>… Not to mention that it also makes it SUPER easy<\/strong> to Identify<\/strong>! Which is a Wonderful Trait<\/strong> (and can keep you from getting Ripped OFF!<\/strong>)<\/p>\n

    PLUS… It also LOWERS PRICE!<\/h2>\n

    \nSo don’t be so concerned with Clarity<\/strong>. I usually advise sticking with SI Clarity Diamonds<\/strong> or Higher (that way you won’t have those HUGE Black Spots<\/strong> in the Stone!).<\/p>\n
