Which is Better?<\/h2>\n

\nWhen people are shopping for diamonds<\/strong>, especially loose certified diamonds<\/a>, they’re always torn…<\/p>\n

Torn between color and clarity.<\/h2>\n

\nMost ask questions regarding the quality of one stone versus another<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nAs in:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Which diamond would you recommend? An SI1, E, or a VVS2, H?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nTo which I’ll 99.9%<\/strong> of the time reply:<\/p>\n

The SI1, E, hands-down!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Here’s why…<\/h2>\n

\nBoth diamonds (again, going back to the example of SI1<\/strong> and VVS2 <\/strong>above) are eye-clean diamonds. Meaning<\/strong>, you can’t see the flaws or inclusions with the bare eye<\/strong>. You’d need a microscope<\/a> or a 10x jeweler’s loupe<\/a> to see them.<\/p>\n

\nWhich really means, unless you microscope your diamond<\/strong> (which you’ll probably never do except for the day you buy it<\/strong>), you’ll never be able to tell the difference between them\u2014They’d look identical<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

But with Color…<\/h2>\n

\nWith the difference in color (one being an E<\/strong>, the other being an H<\/strong>), chances are good, you will<\/strong> be able to see the difference.<\/p>\n

\nGranted, they are both “white<\/strong>” diamonds, but the E diamond is pure white<\/strong>, and the H diamond is off-white<\/strong>, or fine-white<\/strong>. So the E will probably pop more, and look bigger and brighter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nPutting these two stones side by side, the SI1, E will more than likely look better than the VVS2, H<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In most cases, the BETTER COLOR WINS!<\/h2>\n

\nBut, there are some exceptions to this rule <\/strong>that could change everything!<\/p>\n
