\nA tiny pair of diamond solitaires<\/strong> to go in your second or third earlobe hole?<\/p>\n

\nWell, that’s my goal<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

To find the Cheapest Pair<\/h2>\n

\nSo I went to all the leading jewelry stores<\/strong> websites and searched for the lowest carat weight studs (solitaires<\/strong>) I could find. Carat weights that all the jewelers carried…<\/p>\n

\nThey were 1\/4 carats (quarter carats)<\/strong>. That’s twenty five points (.25<\/strong>) total weight between <\/strong>the two diamonds (so they’re only 12-13 points each<\/strong>). They’re small, but work perfect for diamonds running up the ear (as in graduated sizes).<\/p>\n

So who had the Cheapest?<\/h2>\n

\nAmazon came out a distinct leader!<\/a> (and they’re certified<\/strong>)<\/p>\n

Keep in mind a couple of things:<\/h2>\n

\nThese were online only<\/strong> (meaning cheaper ones could have been sold). And I did not try to match up quality at all (color or clarity<\/strong>). Most small diamond studs are low quality anyways<\/strong> (that’s the nature of diamond earrings, especially ones this size). Most will be I clarity, I color<\/strong>. That’s standard. Some may vary, but most jewelers won’t even list the quality of diamonds when they get this small… It’s almost impossible to tell the difference anyway without a 10x powered loupe<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nAlso note that these prices were good today<\/strong>, the time of this post. They could, and probably will, change, or go on sale… Who knows?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nSo if you’re looking for a 1\/4 carat<\/strong> (you can always buy small and keep upgrading as the years go by), then this is where you go<\/strong>…<\/p>\n
