The internet is awesome<\/strong>. You can order wedding bands online at Amazon<\/strong>, for almost nothing (literally $1 and up HERE<\/a>)…<\/p>\n

Dirt Cheap!<\/h2>\n

\nI mean, how can you go wrong?<\/strong> You can’t…<\/p>\n

ALMOST!<\/h2>\n

\nBecause there’s one huge hurdle, one catch<\/strong> to overcome:<\/p>\n

SIZING!<\/h2>\n

\nMost wedding bands nowadays cannot be sized<\/strong> (or resized).<\/p>\n

\nMany bands and metals, like Tungsten, Titanium, Stainless Steel<\/strong>, cannot be sized by a standard jeweler.<\/p>\n

\nThey have to be ordered in the correct size <\/strong>to begin with.<\/p>\n

\nBands with a continuous design<\/strong>, pattern, inlay <\/strong>(like wood, antler, dinosaur bone<\/a>, abalone) can’t be sized either<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

NOPE!<\/h2>\n

\nThe metals are too tough. And any inlay item would crack, break or chip<\/strong>. Rings like these are made to order<\/strong> in the correct size to start.<\/p>\n

\n\"Wedding<\/a><\/p>\n

None of these can be Sized!<\/h2>\n

\nSo ordering online can be cheap<\/strong>, but who cares if you can’t wear it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nMany people order online and think they can just take it into a local jewelry store<\/strong> to get it sized and fitted.<\/p>\n

It’s Impossible!<\/h2>\n

\nPlus, if the store did attempt it, and they ruined your ring<\/strong>, they’d have to replace it (which sucks because you didn’t buy it from them<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\nSo if you’re ordering; STOP<\/strong>. Make sure you have the correct size FIRST <\/strong>(and no guessing<\/em><\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\nTake your man into the store to find out his true finger size<\/strong> (And note that his dominant hand will be bigger <\/strong>than his other hand, usually 1\/2 size difference<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

Find the Correct Size FIRST<\/h2>\n

\nThen, and only then, can you order online<\/strong> (or just buy in store).<\/p>\n

\nBecause they can’t be sized, or resized<\/strong>. Which also means; Make sure there’s a return policy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nThis also means that in 10 years, when he gains weight<\/strong> and needs a bigger ring, it can’t be sized. You’ll have to buy a new one<\/strong> (think about that before you eat that chocolate).<\/p>\n

\nThis is the biggest downfall<\/strong> to all the cool and new wedding bands today. <\/p>\n

\nWhen there was nothing but Gold rings<\/strong>, this wasn’t much of an issue. Gold rings can be sized and resized<\/strong>. Although if it has a pattern, the pattern will still be broken. <\/p>\n

Other rings, not so much.<\/h2>\n

\nJust get the size right<\/strong>, then order. Otherwise, you’re stuck with a ring that just won’t fit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
