\nNo, I’m not talking a lack of interest<\/strong>, or diamonds that are just so-so<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

\nI’m talking about diamond color:<\/strong><\/p>\n

E and H.<\/h2>\n

\nBoth are nice colors<\/strong> that are white in body tone. Both are considered either “fine white<\/strong>” or “pure white<\/strong>“. Either way, they’re white.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nE is in the middle of the best color range<\/strong> on Earth: pure white<\/strong>. This is an exceptional color (or no color<\/strong>), very rare in nature, and ultra-white (like there’s a spot-light<\/strong> on the stone).<\/p>\n

\nH color is at the high end of the “near colorless<\/strong>” color range. G and H are considered “fine white<\/strong>” colors that appear white in the face up view<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Compare an E diamond to an H diamond below:<\/h2>\n

\n(Both diamonds are the same clarity, carat weight, and cut (SI1, 1 carat, ideal cut<\/strong>)<\/p>\n

Hard to tell the difference?<\/h2>\n

\nThere is a difference. Slightly<\/strong>. You can see some yellowish tint<\/strong> in the H diamond (barely… but probably only visible because I told you to look for it<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\nPersonally I prefer the E color<\/strong> (my favorite <\/strong>diamond color). It’s like crystal-clear spring water.<\/p>\n

I love it.<\/h2>\n

\nBut honestly, that’s me<\/strong>. I’ve been dealing with diamonds for 30 years and I see them everyday. I adore E<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nMost people though, they wouldn’t be able to tell the difference unless I pointed it out<\/strong>. After all, we are comparing a white diamond<\/strong> against a white diamond<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nSo to the average observer, they’ll look the same<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Unless you turn things upside-down.<\/h2>\n

\nWhen you view a diamond upside-down<\/strong> (pavilion point sticking straight up), you can actually see diamond color better<\/strong>. And this is how diamonds are truly graded<\/strong>. A diamond in this position exhibits the true color of the stone without all the distraction from the facets<\/strong>, light interaction, brilliance<\/strong>, sparkle, or scintillation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Can you spot the difference now?<\/h2>\n

\nYou should<\/strong>. It’s definitely more obvious<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The E color looks whiter.<\/h2>\n

\nViewing any diamond from the side, bottom, or upside-down view will allow you to see if the diamond is white, or yellow<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n\"How<\/p>\n

\nSo whether you opt for E color, or H, they are both great colors to own<\/strong> (as well as the rest of the “pure white<\/strong>” and “near colorless<\/strong>” color ranges (D, E, F, G, H<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\nThey are the best of the best<\/strong>. They will make a diamond look spectacular, bigger<\/strong>, brighter, and yes, whiter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

So the best diamonds to buy are:<\/h2>\n

\nSI1 (or higher – that way you get no visible flaws<\/strong>), D, E, F, color (void of any color whatsoever), triple excellent cut<\/strong> (the best cut you can buy, which makes all the difference in the world), like these diamonds below:<\/p>\n

\nAnd if you want to save a few bucks<\/strong>, grab the G-H diamond colors<\/strong> instead:<\/p>\n
