\nEasy as 1, 2, 3…<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nBut not so easy when it comes to diamond color<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nDiamond color (the GIA diamond color grading scale<\/strong>) is D-Z<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

\nWhich begs the question:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Where is A, B, C?<\/h2>\n

\nThe truth is, there is no A, B, or C diamond color<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nAnd the reason is simple:<\/p>\n

To avoid confusion!<\/h2>\n

\nBack in the day when diamond grading systems were lax and undefined<\/strong>, diamond sellers would call color any number of things: from Top-White<\/strong>, to Blue-White<\/strong>, Commercial Grade, A, AA, AAA<\/strong> (like CZ’s are graded today), to Rapnet Specs:<\/strong> A, B, and C…<\/p>\n

\nBut really, A, B, and C stands for: All Bull Crap!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The color scale starts at D. Period!<\/h2>\n

\nThis was determined in the early 1900’s<\/strong> by GIA, and it’s the definitive guideline<\/strong> that everyone across America uses to grade color in diamonds. Whether it be from a set of master diamond color grading stones<\/a>, to a colorimeter<\/strong>… The system is D-Z, just like the color grading scale here:<\/p>\n

\"A-B-C<\/p>\n

\nAnything beyond Z is a “fancy color<\/a>“, like; blues<\/strong>, greens, yellows<\/strong>, pinks, reds<\/strong>, browns, orange<\/strong>, black… Those are fancy, rare, and expensive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nBut not as rare as an A, B, or C, for those are non-existent<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

\nSo if anyone says a diamond color grade is an A, B, C… See yourself out the door!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nBecause that’s misleading and unscrupulous<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

D-Z… Still as easy as 1, 2, 3.<\/h2>\n
