You don&#8217;t want any chains that are <strong>gold plated<\/strong>, <strong>gold filled<\/strong>, <strong>semi-hollow<\/strong>, <strong>hollow<\/strong>, or <strong>layered<\/strong>. Look for solid chains (not hollow inside, where they would crush). The biggest way to tell the difference <strong>is in price<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\nGenuine gold will be <strong>more expensive<\/strong>. Generally <strong>$100 and up<\/strong>. Plated chains, silver chains, hollow chains are <strong>cheaper and ultra-lightweight<\/strong>.
