\nBecause these engagement rings are in style, hot, and what’s selling in the stores today<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nStarting with…<\/strong><\/p>\n

1) The Engagement Ring Setting:<\/h2>\n

\nRight now, there are 2 main types of rings<\/strong> that are dominating the industry; the pave mounting<\/a>, and the halo mounting<\/a>. As seen below:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nYou can’t go wrong with either of these settings<\/strong>. They are bold, beautiful, full of sparkle and dazzle, and really adds a lot of light and pizzazz<\/strong> to any engagement ring.<\/p>\n

\nBoth styles are quite similar<\/strong>, they both have pave set diamonds, meaning, the diamonds are small, set close together, and held in place by tiny beads or prongs<\/strong>. The difference between the two styles is that the halo mountings have a circle around the center stone<\/strong> (a halo).<\/p>\n

\nThey are both best sellers<\/strong> and almost every ring sold is either one or the other.<\/p>\n

2) The Type of Metal:<\/h2>\n

\nHands down, the metal of choice is 14k white gold<\/strong> (probably 95%<\/strong> of all rings sold). Sometimes you’ll see a dash of rose gold<\/strong> or yellow gold<\/strong> thrown in, but the mounting is generally white, like these beautiful rings here:<\/p>\n

3) The Center Diamond:<\/h2>\n

\nThe most popular cuts (shapes)<\/strong> for the center stone are: Round<\/strong>, Oval<\/strong>, Cushion<\/strong>, and Princess<\/strong>. Just like these diamonds here:<\/p>\n

\nThey all look great in a pave or halo mounting<\/strong>, and the carat weight doesn’t even need to be large either, because a halo mounting will always make a diamond look larger<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
