\nSeriously!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThe trick is knowing how to effectively adjust the quality<\/strong> of a diamond, to equal the same price…<\/p>\n

\nIt’s true, you really can get a 2 carat diamond<\/strong> for the same price<\/strong> as a 1 carat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Let me show you how:<\/h2>\n

\nFirst off, to be able to double the carat weight<\/strong>, you’ll need to switch shapes<\/strong>. All the other shapes of diamond (other then the round) are cheaper<\/strong> (some cuts by 30-40%). So instantly looking at princess cuts<\/strong>, or asscher cuts<\/strong>, or cushion cuts<\/strong>, will drop the price quickly.<\/p>\n

\nBelow are two diamonds, the same price<\/strong>, one is a princess cut, the other a round.<\/p>\n

\nNow, as you can see, these two diamonds are not the same color<\/strong> (you have to cut somewhere). One is G, the other J (but they are still Near Colorless<\/strong> diamonds, and as seen above, they still appear similar<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\nClarity is another difference too; one is VVS1 (top of the line<\/strong>), and the other SI1 (a more common clarity). Both stones are what they call “eye-clean<\/strong>” and you can only see the flaws and inclusions under a microscope (as seen in the photo<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\nBoth stones are GIA certified<\/strong>, both have fluorescence<\/strong>, but the round stone is cut much finer (True Hearts<\/strong>). So the round diamond will have more sparkle, but the princess cut will blow it away with size (princess cuts look way bigger than round diamonds as it is, let alone double the carat weight<\/strong>).<\/p>\n
