Saint Patrick’s Day is coming…<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThat’s a Tuesday<\/strong>, and it’s the greenest day<\/strong> of the year.<\/p>\n

\nThat’s because St. Paddy’s Day<\/strong> started as a religious celebration in the 17th century to commemorate the life of Saint Patrick<\/strong> and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. This day always takes place on the anniversary of Patrick’s death, which was believed to be March 17, 461 AD.<\/p>\n

And so a feast it is!<\/h2>\n

\nWith corned beef<\/strong> and cabbage, shepherd’s pie<\/strong> and a swig of beer, St. Paddy’s Day is a grand celebration for any Irish-American communities.<\/p>\n

\nWear a little green<\/strong> (to keep from getting pinched), and feel lucky all day.<\/p>\n
