This is a very good example<\/strong> of what strong blue fluorescence<\/strong> looks like in a diamond. It’s hard to explain to people, but once you see one, it all becomes quite apparent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nThis diamond shown below, is GIA certified<\/strong>, and has strong blue fluorescence<\/a>. Many diamonds with a strong fluorescence will often look cloudy, hazy, or foggy.<\/p>\n

\nFluorescence is a natural phenomenon<\/strong> that can make a diamond glow-in-the-dark<\/strong> under UV light<\/a>. And this diamond, will really glow due to the strong grade.<\/p>\n

Take a peek:<\/h2>\n

\nNow, take a peek at the fluorescence grading scale<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

\n\"Diamond<\/p>\n

\nThe stronger the grade, the stronger the glow<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s a pretty cool trait, that is, until it starts to affect how it looks in normal light<\/strong>. Such as the case above. The entire stone looks blurry<\/strong>. Most people would tend to wipe the stone off, thinking it’s a mist or film, but it’s inside the diamond, and it will be there forever and ever.<\/p>\n

\nThis is why I strongly advise to check the fluorescence grade<\/strong> of any diamond before <\/strong>you purchase it. Because even though it has a flawless clarity<\/strong>, high color grade, and triple excellent cut grades, it doesn’t always mean that it will look bigger, better and brighter than a much lower priced diamond<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Check the fluorescence grade!<\/h2>\n

\nThey always list this on any diamond report<\/strong>. If it’s faint, you probably won’t notice any difference in the diamond’s appearance. But if it’s higher than that, I suggest viewing the diamond in person<\/strong>, to see if it makes a difference to you. It may look fine. Or it may look foggy…<\/p>\n
