1) Keep the Mounting Simple!<\/h2>\n

\nI always advise guys into buying the Classic Tiffany Style Mounting<\/a>, which is just a plain thin band. Since there are no Diamonds down the side, it is the simplest and most cost effective mounting ever made. <\/p>\n

\nIf you must have Diamonds in the mounting, keep them small and dainty (like in a Halo Mounting<\/a>). This will also keep the cost down!<\/strong> You’d be surprised at how much a mounting costs without a center stone (which is the real bread and butter). Some mountings can run you THOUSANDS<\/strong> alone! Where as a Tiffany Mounting might be closer to $300<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nYour choice!<\/strong><\/p>\n

2) Buy Light Carats!<\/h2>\n

\nLight Carat Weights are Carat Weights that are slightly below the mark<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

\nInstead of purchasing a 1 Carat <\/strong>Diamond, buy a 93 Point<\/strong> Diamond instead!<\/p>\n

\nSame with a Half Carat<\/strong>. Don’t buy 50 Points<\/strong>, buy 44<\/strong> instead.<\/p>\n

\nBuying SHY can really Save you Some Money<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nCompare these two stones that are identical<\/strong> in every way except for Carat Weight…<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

\nInstead of getting her 1 Diamond with a Carat Weight of 1.00 Carat, buy her 5 Smaller Diamonds<\/strong> that add up, or total 1.00 Carat Weight.<\/p>\n

\nA 1.00 Carat Diamond Solitaire could run you $6,000<\/strong>. But a Diamond Ring with multiple Diamonds that total 1 Full Carat could cost you as little as $3,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nThat’s like buying it Half Off!<\/strong><\/p>\n

4) Buy Fancy Shapes!<\/h2>\n

\nSkip the Round Stone<\/strong>, it’s the most ExpensiveCut<\/strong> there is.<\/p>\n

\nInstead, opt for Fancy Cuts<\/strong> like the Princess Cut<\/strong>, Marquise Cut, Oval Cut and Cushion Cut<\/strong>. You’ll see a drastic drop in price for the same Quality and Carat Weight.<\/p>\n

\nSO DON’T ASK!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nInstead, just buy her something pretty, something cute, something sparkly, and most importantly, something affordable in your BUDGET and price range!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nAnd if you pay with “CASH<\/strong>” (not Credit card<\/strong> or Financing<\/strong>) then you may have even more leverage and leeway to get yourself a better deal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
