A lot of people ask me what Clarity sparkles the most?<\/strong> What makes a Diamond Beautiful and Sparkle with tons of Brilliance, Fire, and Scintillation? <\/p>\n

\nThe funny thing is Clarity affects Sparkle the least <\/strong>out of all the other Diamond Aspects.<\/p>\n

\nSo before we get into Clarity, let me quickly go through the other things that make a Diamond Sparkle. <\/p>\n

The Shape<\/h2>\n

\nA Round Brilliant Cut Diamond<\/a> will give you the most Brilliance and Sparkle out of any Cut of Diamond. That’s mainly due to one thing: it’s Perfectly Symmetrical<\/strong>. All of the flashes of light are evenly distributed around the Diamond creating a very uniformed appearance. No other Cut can compare, or surpass it. <\/p>\n

Diamond Cut<\/h2>\n

\nThe way a Diamond is Cut<\/strong> does more to the Beauty and Brilliance and Sparkle of a Diamond than any other characteristic. If the Diamond is Cut with an "Excellent<\/strong>" Cut Grade (GIA) along with "Excellent<\/strong>" Polish AND "Excellent<\/strong>" Symmetry Grades, then that Diamond will blow all other Diamonds out of the water. It will Sparkle like crazy!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Diamond Color<\/h2>\n

\nEven the Color tends to make the Diamonds Sparkle more. Now this may be highly debatable, but in my opinion a Pure White Diamond<\/a> enhances the Sparkle and Beauty and Light that a Diamond gives off. It tends to make a Diamond look like there’s a spot light on it<\/strong>. I love Pure White (Colorless<\/strong>) Diamonds and I highly recommend them! <\/strong><\/p>\n

No Florescence!<\/h2>\n

\nSome Diamonds that have Florescence<\/a> will actually make the Diamond look Cloudy, Foggy, or Hazy, hence hindering Light, Beauty, and Sparkle<\/strong>. That’s why I always advise customers to buy Certified Diamonds that have NO Florescence. Just to be safe<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Diamond Certification<\/h2>\n

\nThe Certificate Matters!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nOr I should say WHO Certifies it matters the most<\/strong>. If you compare a Diamond that’s Certified by GIA<\/strong>, against a Diamond Certified by IGI<\/strong>, more than likely the GIA Diamond will Sparkle MORE<\/strong> if everything else is identical (as far as the Grades go). <\/p>\n

\nThat’s because GIA is more strict in it’s Gradings<\/strong>, and if they say a Diamond is a VS1<\/strong> then you can surely bet it’s a true VS1. <\/p>\n

\nOther Diamond Reports<\/strong> (or Certificates<\/strong> as they’re known), may over-exaggerate or bump<\/a> their Grades slightly. So a diamond that GIA would call I1 Clarity<\/strong> other companies might call it an SI2<\/strong> instead (which will then also cost you more<\/strong>). <\/p>\n

\nSo stick with the Best Certificates if you want the best, most accurate Grades possible. And the only two companies that I recommend are GIA and AGS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Diamond Carat Weight<\/h2>\n

\nThe bigger the Carat Weight is, the more light will enter the stone and the more Sparkle will come out<\/strong>. Compare a 1\/4 Carat Diamond to a Full Carat (1.00 CT<\/strong>) and you will see a huge difference in Sparkle, Fire, and Brilliance.<\/p>\n

The Mounting and Prongs!<\/h2>\n

\nThe more a Diamond is covered up by the Mounting or Prongs, the less that Diamond will Sparkle<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

\nSo a Diamond that is set in a 4 Prong Head will Sparkle more <\/strong>than a Diamond set in a 6 Prong Head<\/strong>, no doubt!<\/p>\n

\nLikewise, Diamonds that are set down into a Channel Setting will get less light and actually appear darker! <\/p>\n

\nSo if you want your Diamonds to Sparkle more keep the mounting simple and lift the Diamond up so it can grab as much light as possible! <\/strong><\/p>\n

More Light Please!<\/h2>\n

\nDiamonds, and the way they are Cut, thrive off light<\/strong>. Which means the more light there is getting to your stone, the more your Diamond will Sparkle. <\/p>\n

\nA Diamond in the dark isn’t so pretty!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nSo now what Clarity<\/strong> Sparkles the most?<\/p>\n

\nLet’s find out…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Diamond Clarity<\/h2>\n

\nThe Clarity that Sparkles the most is the Clarity that doesn’t get in the way or block light<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

\nThankfully, most of the Clarities on the Diamond Clarity Chart<\/a> don’t block any light. <\/p>\n

\nTo block light, the Inclusion’s or Flaws inside a Diamond need to be pretty big or obvious<\/strong>. Which means I Clarity Diamonds!<\/strong> <\/p>\n

\nI Clarity basically means eye-visible Inclusions<\/strong>. Imperfections that you can see with the naked eye (No Jeweler’s Loupe<\/a> or a Microscope<\/a> Needed). These types of Flaws will stop light dead in it’s track. <\/p>\n

\nAnd NO Light equals NO Sparkle!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nSo if you want a Clarity that Sparkles the most<\/strong>, get a Clarity that is SI or higher<\/strong> (preferably SI1 or higher). The inclusions in an SI1 Diamond or higher are so small you’ll need 10x magnification to see them (and that’s GREAT!<\/strong>) <\/p>\n

\nThose Diamond Clarities (SI1 or higher<\/strong>) won’t affect Light or Life! <\/p>\n

So there you go…<\/h2>\n

\nYou now learned everything that makes a Diamond Sparkle and what makes them Sparkle the MOST!<\/strong><\/p>\n

AND remember…<\/h2>\n

\nNO Diamond will Sparkle if it’s DIRTY!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nSo keep it clean if you want it to bling!<\/strong><\/p>\n
