Heaven forbid you get caught wearing two colors of metals, let alone, two totally different types of metals, like gold and steel.

But times have changed:

Nowadays, all it takes is one quick trip to the jewelry store to see that the clear cut boundaries of years gone by, have blurred, vanished, and merged to become obsolete all together.

Today, you’ll have no problems in finding jewelry made in great two-tone varieties. 14kt yellow gold and 14kt white gold combinations, mixed into beautiful styles and wonderful designs. Whether it be in diamond engagement rings or cocktail rings or even color stone rings, two-tone mountings have become very trendy and very popular.

Two-tone is versatile!

Two-tone mountings encourage women to wear both yellow and white metals.

Just think about it: 2 different colored rings on the same hand. Or how about a white gold bracelet and a solid gold watch… White gold earrings and a yellow gold pendant… It no longer matters if your Rings match your other rings. Gold is gold. Metals are metals.

They all look good together. So go crazy with it. Wear yellow gold with sterling silver. It’s fun, it’s stylish, it’s adding personality to your jewelry.

You can’t go wrong.

Do keep in mind though, if you put a gold ring up against a platinum ring, the platinum ring will wear down the gold ring faster (because platinum is more durable and harder than gold. Putting them side by side is probably not wise).

But as far as colors go, yellow or white, it doesn’t really matter anymore. They all look good. Try wearing a white gold charm on a yellow gold necklace. Guess what? It works! It’s hip. It’s awesome. Give it a try, you’ll be amazed.

The easiest way to get more use out of your jewelry, is to wear them together of course. And if you’re still having problems with that, if you’re still trying to make that merge, here’s the best way to do it…

Buy some pieces of jewelry that are two-tone.

You can find jewelry that have both colors of gold in just about any jewelry store. Get a couple of pieces of jewelry that has both yellow gold and white gold like the pendant in the picture shown, and it’ll make that merge for you. Having a couple pieces of nice two-tone jewelry will instantly transform your jewelry into a whole dazzling collection.

As you can see in the picture, just having a two-tone pendant allows you to wear a white gold diamond bracelet with a yellow gold sapphire ring. It’s that easy.

Trust me, times have changed. Look around at what other people are wearing. You’ll see. Mix it, match it, switch it up. It doesn’t matter, it’s all jewelry, and it all looks grand.

Cheers! :)

Men never think about this question, but I can’t tell you how many times a woman has asked this: “Can you wear both yellow gold jewelry and white gold jewelry together at the same time?” [Read More…]

[4,13

post-7227","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-jewelry","category-metals
