\nYou want to be sly about it and get her to tell you, but you don’t want to plant any seeds<\/strong> about the big engagement or grand proposal<\/strong> you have planned?<\/p>\n

\nSo how do you get her engagement ring size without her knowing?<\/strong><\/p>\n

You’re not the only one…<\/h2>\n

\nMany guys have this dilemma, they want to get the correct finger size for the engagement ring<\/strong>, but don’t want to ruin the surprise. It’s a tricky situation<\/strong>. I mean when you give it to her you want the ring to fit don’t you? So you’re stuck with either asking her or what I like to say, fudging it!<\/strong> And bear in mind…<\/p>\n

Fudging it is NOT really guessing!<\/h2>\n

\nThere is No absolute perfect way to do this little task secretly. But there are ways around it.<\/p>\n

\nAnd also remember one very important thing:<\/strong> the engagement ring is the ring finger on the LEFT hand!<\/strong> (So if you take her hands in yours, it’s your right side!)<\/p>\n

\nYou’d be surprised how many people don’t know which is the correct hand for the engagement and wedding rings. I bring that up while I’m thinking about it, because there’s another huge factor, the ring finger of the left hand is not the same size <\/strong>as the ring finger of her right hand!<\/p>\n

WHAT?<\/h2>\n

\nYES! It’s true… Human hands are different sizes.<\/p>\n

How odd!<\/h2>\n

\nEverybody’s hands are not equally sized because of dominance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nYour dominant hand will usually always be about a half size bigger<\/strong> than the other.<\/p>\n

\nAnd no jokes here about why one hand is bigger than the other<\/strong>… it’s just a fact…<\/p>\n

\nSo be careful you’re getting the correct size of the correct finger. It would be a shame to go through all this trouble and still get it wrong!<\/strong> So how do you get that ring size without planting any suspicions…<\/strong><\/p>\n

“What are you up to?”<\/h2>\n

\nThere are lots of ways around this. First off, forget the old “try this ring on, I just want to see how it looks on your finger!<\/strong>“<\/p>\n

\nThose tactics are old and worn and will NOT work!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nPlus it will immediately plant seeds of marching down the aisle!<\/strong> Don’t do it!<\/p>\n

I repeat: Don’t do it!<\/h2>\n

\nYou may think that you’re slick, but I assure you…she’s slicker!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nSo the best way to get her finger size without ruining the surprise is this…<\/p>\n

Ask her best friends!<\/h2>\n

\nAsk her friends and if that doesn’t work, ask her mother!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Quietly ASK!<\/h2>\n

\nBUT<\/strong>, you’ve got to get them to swear to total confidentiality (and you have to trust them <\/strong>to do this).<\/p>\n

\nOnce they know it’s an engagement ring and a proposal is coming, they’ll zip their lips<\/strong> quicker than you can say “zip it!<\/strong>“<\/p>\n

\nNo doubt that they have gone into jewelry stores in the past just to browse the wedding rings<\/strong>, engagement rings and solitaires. I’ve seen it happen daily. Women just have to look<\/em>. It’s built in.<\/strong> Girl code. They just do it.<\/p>\n

“I just want to try one on!”<\/h2>\n

\nWoman go into jewelers trying on countless engagement rings and store things into memory<\/strong>, like what size her best friend’s ring finger is… I’m Serious<\/strong>. Women do this. If you ask her best friend I’m sure, under normal circumstances, she’ll be able to tell you without batting an eyelash<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

They do that just in case!<\/h2>\n

\nThey’ve been looking forward to this all their lives <\/strong>and women are always prepared for anything.<\/p>\n

\nAnd in fact, even under the slight chance that her best friend or mother doesn’t know the exact size, they are better off than anyone at guessing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nPlus women always try on each others rings. They do these things. They know!<\/strong> Trust me.<\/p>\n

She wants to be surprised!<\/h2>\n

\nYou’ll get her ring size, she’ll be surprised and you both will live happily ever after (<\/strong>Crossing my fingers on this one). And believe me, women do LOVE surprises!<\/strong> Don’t ruin it for them.<\/p>\n

\nSome guys still want to try the old trick of tying a string around her finger<\/strong> while she sleeps. Give it up. That string really won’t help a jeweler out when it comes to fitting a metal band. Plus, she’ll probably wake up<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nAnd there’s more important things you should know about her finger size…<\/p>\n

\n…Most jewelers will size your brand new engagement ring at no charge ONCE!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sounds good, eh?<\/h2>\n

\nBut what that also means is this, if they have to size it again… They’re charging you!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nSo if you guess her ring size wrong<\/strong>, it will cost you. And Depending on the type of metal selected, it could be anywhere from $25.00 to $200 more.<\/strong> Keep that in mind!<\/p>\n

My best advice is this:<\/h2>\n

\nIf you can’t get her ring size through her closest female confidants<\/strong>, then don’t do it at all<\/em>. I’m not saying don’t get the ring, I’m saying don’t get it sized!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nMost rings come in an average women’s ring size around 6 – 7.<\/strong> That’s average, and most women will usually be able to fit that somewhere on their hands. If it doesn’t fit, they’ll force it<\/strong>! Women have a great natural ability to fit a ring and wear it until they’re able to get it sized properly.<\/p>\n

“It’ll fit for now!”<\/h2>\n

\nPlus the fact that if you keep sizing and resizing a ring it breaks down the ring’s integrity and durability!<\/strong> So size it once, that’s the best.<\/p>\n

\nShe’ll be surprised… but she’ll be even more surprised if her finger size is a 4 and you “accidentally” get her a 14!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yep, that’s a BIG surprise!<\/h2>\n

\nYou may get remarks about her being overweight<\/strong>… So beware of that backfire.<\/p>\n

\nI mean after all, you do want her to say “YES!<\/strong>“, don’t you? So when you do it, do it right<\/em>. And if you do happen to mess things up, then there’s only one thing to do…<\/p>\n

Blame it on her fat sister!<\/h2>\n
