I wear a tie every single day.<\/h2>\n

\nBut the thing I hate about wearing ties, is that they’re always getting caught on things<\/strong>. They get caught in the jewelry cases, the sonic cleaner, the buffer<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

What a pain!<\/h2>\n

\nSo I started wearing tie tacks and bars<\/a> to hold my tie down. Let me tell you about them…<\/p>\n

Tie tacks:<\/h2>\n

\nIt first started with tie tacks… I bought a yellow gold CZ tie tack<\/a>. It looked awesome<\/strong>. It sat low to the tie and I loved it. But I hated sticking that sharp pin through my expensive ties<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nBut no matter how careful you were you could always see the poke marks<\/strong> it left behind and every now and then it would snag my tie and runnnnnn. Arggh!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

So I gave up on tie tacks. I moved onto…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tie bars:<\/h2>\n

\nTie bars<\/a> drove me nuts.<\/strong> I could never get the bar to look straight. It was always leaning or getting bunched up and diagonal<\/strong>. The tie would have bulges in it and the tie bar would leave creases and indentations<\/strong> in the silk.<\/p>\n

\nFrustrated, I gave up on those as well.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tie chains:<\/h2>\n

\nThen along came the chains… Tie chains<\/a> changed my life. I must say, I fell in love with them<\/strong>. Love the way they look, love the way they feel… They don’t confine your tie and pin it down. The chain loosely holds your tie in place, while still giving it freedom, movement, and air<\/strong>. Chains like this look elegant and keep your tie where it belongs and not blowing in the wind! Plus they don’t damage your ties either!<\/strong> Nothing gets clipped, pinched, poked or clamped.<\/p>\n

\nThe chain encircles your tie and looks beautiful.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA tie chain has a small loop that hooks over your shirt button (See photo above). The biggest problem I found with tie chains is that they aren’t secure<\/strong>. They can come off your button easily and you’ll end up losing the chain<\/strong>. I can’t tell you how many I lost before I finally found a different solution<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I made my own tie chain!<\/h2>\n

\nYou see, the biggest issue I had with chains was that they were always coming loose<\/strong> and always gold plated as well!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nI really didn’t like wearing a cheap piece of plated jewelry… (especially since I work in a jewelry store<\/strong>). So this is what I did…<\/p>\n

\nI bought a 14kt yellow gold 8″ men’s rope bracelet<\/a> (You can also buy it in 10k<\/a> which is much cheaper and looks similar). Problem solved!<\/strong> You put the bracelet through your button hole-loop and fasten it (I usually wear mine about 3\/4 of the way down my tie). You then put your Tie through the Bracelet Loop<\/strong>. That’s it!<\/p>\n

\nIt holds it safe and secure, and because the bracelet is gold, it won’t tarnish or fade colors. It will last forever.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’ve had mine for 8 years now and love it.<\/h2>\n

\nYou can use any 8″ rope chain<\/a>, rolo link chain<\/a>, wheat chain<\/a> any smooth thin 8″ bracelet<\/strong> should work awesome<\/strong> (Just don’t buy anything rough or it will snag your tie<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\nTrust me, it really does work! You’ll love how it looks and you’ll love the compliments people give. <\/p>\n

\nYou won’t ever regret buying this type of tie chain.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nAnd then you too, will have the best tie-chain in the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n
