\nThe reason they’re called “illusion head” is because it gave the “illusion<\/strong>” that the diamond was bigger<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nAn illusion head is a tall white gold head that holds a white gold plate<\/strong>. In the center of that plate is a hole. That hole is what your diamond sits in<\/strong>. Grooves and prongs on the plate enhance the look, so at first glance<\/strong>, the entire head looks Like one big diamond<\/strong> (see picture). Only when you got closer did you see that the tiny spec in the center of the plate was the actual diamond<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Trio sets:<\/h2>\n

\nTrio set engagement rings<\/a> (Scream Cheap<\/strong>) were a very common ring that used illusion heads. It was built for people that wanted a bigger bang for their buck.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nToday, the illusion head lives on in many different forms and styles<\/strong>. Jewelers have updated the “illusion<\/strong>” and turned that head into many diamonds. Modern illusions of big diamonds<\/a>, are made up of much smaller diamonds, and put together like a puzzle<\/strong>. They’re beautiful, they’re diamond, and they’re cheaper! And still, they have made this “illusion” style even CHEAPER… <\/strong><\/p>\n
