\nWhat finger does an anniversary band go on?<\/strong> <\/p>\n

\nWell, it all depends on a couple of key elements<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

  1. What type of anniversary ring do you have?<\/li>\n
  2. What your other rings look like?<\/li>\n
  3. Where does it look the best?<\/li>\n
  4. Is it flat, wide, raised up high?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    These factors can help you decide the correct finger for that anniversary ring.<\/p>\n

    The ring finger:<\/h2>\n

    \nI usually recommend that the anniversary ring be worn on the same finger<\/strong> as your wedding ring & engagement ring (that’s tradition<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

    But that’s where the fun begins.<\/h2>\n

    \nIf you bought a channel-set anniversary ring<\/a> (like the one in the photo), then you’re in luck. Most channel-set anniversary bands will fit flush up against your wedding set and will look awesome.<\/p>\n

    That is, as long as you have a flat side for the band to fit flush against. <\/p>\n

    \nIf you have a solitaire engagement ring<\/strong> and a channel set diamond wedding band (like the photo), you’ll have no problems. These are the best types of rings to add onto<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Make it match:<\/h2>\n

    \nMost people that have rings like these will buy an anniversary ring that matches their current wedding ring<\/strong> and wear it on the other side of their engagement ring. <\/p>\n

    \nThis is, in my opinion, the perfect look. <\/strong><\/p>\n

    But, if your wedding set has uneven sides or pieces that stick out, or if it makes your rings too wide to wear all together on one finger<\/strong>, then you have to do something different. <\/p>\n

    \nWearing a band against your wedding set that leaves gaps between them is not a pretty sight. <\/strong><\/p>\n

    Prongs or channels?<\/h2>\n

    \nLikewise, if the anniversary band you bought is not<\/strong> a channel-set diamond ring, then you’ll have more problems as well. <\/p>\n

    \nA lot of anniversary rings have raised prongs, sit up higher, have uneven sides and even really wide mountings (marquise shaped anniversary rings<\/strong> are known for this). Those don’t work so well. <\/p>\n

    So what do you do then?<\/h2>\n

    Simple!<\/strong> <\/p>\n

    \nYou wear the anniversary ring on your other hand<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

    \n(That’s the right hand.)<\/p>\n

    \nIf it doesn’t fit flush or look good against your wedding rings, then move it to the opposite hand. <\/p>\n

    \nUsually the best finger for an anniversary ring is the ring finger<\/strong> (finger next to your pinky). That way, it will stand out, look nice, be protected, and won’t take away from the beauty of your wedding set.<\/p>\n

    Order is important!<\/h2>\n

    Do keep in mind, that if you wear all 3 rings together on one finger, order is important.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The proper order of rings is this:<\/strong> wedding band goes on first (sits closest to the heart<\/strong>). Then comes the engagement ring in the middle. Then the anniversary ring goes on last<\/strong> (closest to your fingertips).<\/p>\n
