“It’s irritating!”<\/h2>\n

\nPlus, most pregnant women can actually be more irritated by the chemicals found in the metals<\/strong> and gold (due to changes in body acids).<\/p>\n

\nAnd a lot of women develop rashes and allergic <\/strong>reactions to metals (that can be passed down to their children<\/strong>). <\/p>\n

\nThe best option for many, is to not wear any rings at all.<\/strong><\/p>\n

So buying a lovely, little keepsake for your expecting wife gets a little bit difficult.<\/p>\n

What is the solution?<\/h2>\n

\nWhat jewelry do you buy a pregnant woman that she can wear and enjoy until the baby is born?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nPendants are the best choice because fingers may get pudgy and bloated<\/strong>, but necks generally stay the same.<\/p>\n

Pendants make great gifts because they can be seen easily, can be taken on and off easily<\/strong>, and the styles of chains are endless. <\/p>\n

\nPlus, with all the different lengths of chains available (I recommend 20″<\/strong>), pendants make gift buying easy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What type of pendant should you get?<\/h2>\n

\nOne of your best bets is either to get the baby’s birthstone (the gemstone for that month – if you know it), or get the mom a diamond<\/strong> (diamond works for any month or birthstone, even though diamond is officially the birthstone for April).<\/p>\n

Now this is when it all gets tricky…<\/h2>\n

\nHow do you know what the birthstone is before <\/strong>the baby comes? <\/p>\n

\nThe truth is, you never can be sure. <\/p>\n

\nThe baby could come days, weeks or even months early (or late). Plus, buying one birthstone and getting her the wrong one<\/strong> doesn’t bode too well either.<\/p>\n

So this is what I advise…<\/h2>\n

\nBuy the pendant mounting now<\/strong>… Do this ahead of time so you’re ready when the baby decides to “pop<\/strong>“. <\/p>\n

\nThen, once you do know the month, have the jeweler set the birthstone.<\/p>\n

Simple as that. <\/strong><\/p>\n

But what is the birthstone?<\/h2>\n

\nNow some guys will just wait until the baby comes before they run off to the jeweler in high hopes of finding a cute, little pendant. <\/p>\n

\nGranted, this isn’t such a bad idea<\/strong>, since jewelers will normally carry a small assortment of jewelry for the birthstone of the month<\/strong>… But it does leave you running all around the city trying to find something you like.<\/p>\n

It’s your call.<\/h2>\n

\nMy favorite gift to sell expecting fathers are little baby bootie<\/strong> (like these cute booties here<\/a>). Shoe charms are darling. Ahhhhhhhhhhh!<\/strong> (see picture) They look great in both yellow gold and white gold. Although 14kt gold is better than most other metals if she has allergic reactions.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Purchase the charm first…<\/h2>\n

\nGet the charm first, and then set a gemstone in the foot opening and you have a wonderful, adorable gift.<\/p>\n

\nThey make tons of different styles of baby booties<\/strong> as well, and some already have the birthstones set in them. You’ll have to check them out…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Other great pendant charm ideas:<\/h2>\n

\nLittle boy or little girl charms<\/a>. Baby buggy charms<\/a>. Teddy bear charms<\/a>. Pacifiers<\/a>. Even Flat discs work great<\/a>. You can get them engraved with the baby’s name<\/strong> and birthdate<\/strong> (another reason to wait until the baby shows up).<\/p>\n

To make things easier, you can put these items into Layaway<\/strong> until you’re ready to get them out. That, or a repair<\/strong>… Then all you have to do is call the jeweler once the baby is born and they’ll set the stones and wrap it up for you.<\/p>\n
