1) Heavy Friction Tension Earring Backs

Tension Backs, or Friction Backs as they’re often called, are common earring backs that are durable, easy to put on, and take off. BUT… Most earrings that you buy in stores today don’t offer Medium or Heavy Backs… They put on light weight frail backs that just bend and aren’t secure. So if you buy earrings, request that they put on durable backs, heavy duty backs that won’t slip off or go askew. When you put tension backs on, they should grasp the post and hold it tight. If it feels loose, or slips off, don’t wear them! Heavy or Medium backs will usually have ridges around the edges of the back, to make holding them easier!
