Need a Bigger Size?
Most people do as they age, their rings get tighter, they need a bigger ring size…
Well, now you CAN stretch that gold band and make it bigger YOURSELF!
Really you can!
For they sell ring stretchers that will effectively take your ring or wedding band up a size or two (which really depends on the thickness of your band to begin with).
It’s fairly simple to do!
You stick your plain band (plain works best, if your ring has any kind of engraving, details, designs, or stones it could ruin it!), onto the ring sizer, insert the steel pole and twist it (tighten it)… The ring stick will open up, stretching your ring in the process.
It really is that easy!
This is very similar to what the jewelers use. Gold bands work the best, for the metal is malleable enough to stretch. And you can normally take a ring up anywhere from 1/2 size to a couple of sizes without doing any damage to the ring. Granted, you will probably have to remove the ring, flip it around so both sides of the ring get enlarged evenly, but it will stretch it! No doubt!
A couple other items that will also help this process are: Jeweler’s Mallets (to beat your rings down onto the sizer to stretch them), A Steel Mandrell (Ring Stick so you know what size your ring is), Finger Sizers (So you know what size you’ll need).
