GRAB YOUR RING BY THE SIDES
THIS IS HOW YOU SHOULD PUT ON YOUR DIAMOND ENGAGEMENT RING

My friend is in the store the other day, and I clean and check her engagement ring (which is a stunning halo from James Allen).
I hand it back to her by sliding it onto her finger… And before I can push it up and over her knuckle, she grabs the ring with her index finger on the top, and her thumb on the bottom, and crams it all the way on.
I GROAN!
Really? Did she really have to do that?
She just put her oily fingerprints all over the perfectly clean diamond.
There goes the shine.
UGH!!!!
She should know better.
The funny thing is, she’s not alone; EVERYONE DOES THIS!
So please, listen up; Don’t do that! Don’t hold your ring like this:
Why?
Well, for starters, like I said, it adds oils and greasy smudges all over your diamond. This allows dirt to easily stick to it and dull up your stone and block the light. It instantly makes your diamond sparkle less.
And, believe it or not, but you can actually damage your diamond ring by putting it on this way. You’re putting stress on the diamond and the head and the entire mounting by forcing it over your fingers. You could bend your head, or even break off the entire stone if you’re not careful.
So if you’re ever putting on your jewelry, don’t touch the stones. Grab your ring by the metal, the band, the shank, and gently push it up over your knuckle, like so:
This keeps your grubby paws off the diamond, and let’s your masterpiece bling. Hold it by the sides and you’ll not only protect it, but it will stay shinier for much, much longer.
P.S. You could also buy yourself a diamond dazzle stik and keep it looking brand new forever.
Cheers! :)
