True story:
I was writing up a jewelry repair slip one day, when I had a customer quickly approach me. She says “I want to return these earrings!“
She slams an earring box on the counter in front of me.
So right off the bat, I’m unsettled. I reply, “Can I ask you why you would like to return them?“
Now I’m opening the box to look at her earrings that she wanted to return…
So she says,”Because my earlobes are too fat!“
I exhaled slightly, smirked a little, then said looking up “Now really, how fat could your earlobes ___________”
I stopped short.
She had the fattest earlobes I’ve ever seen.
She was right. They were the thickness of my pinky. There’s no way a normal earring post would ever make it through those puppies. I was shocked!
So what can you do with really thick lobes?
Most people would just give up on wearing earrings. But going without, is NOT the best solution.
In fact, the answer is quite simple. People don’t even know an option like this exists… But it does. You get the jeweler to make the earring post longer!
Really!!!
It only takes a day or two. They elongate the length of the post by adding more gold to the end. That way it’ll be long enough to go through your ears.
It’s a wonderful solution.
(See picture at the top for example.)
The whole procedure doesn’t cost much either. It’s simple, painless, it’s the perfect remedy.
So my customer had her earring posts made longer. She was then able to wear them for the very first time and LOVED them. She ended up being so delighted she left the store smiling.
See, anything is possible.
Remember, when it comes to jewelry, they can custom make, alter, fix or fit just about any design to fulfill your needs.
Why deprive yourself and go without the luxury and beauty of jewelry?
Now…
What to do about your fat head?
That’s another problem…
Cheers! :)
