Nice…
I would imagine this diamond would sell within a day or two…
Why? Because not only is it the cheapest 1 carat diamond…
But it actually faces up really, really well.
Usually cheap 1 carat diamonds are full of black spots, inclusions, flaws that stand out and are extremely obvious to the viewer. Which makes most cheap carats I clarity. I clarity has eye-visible flaws.
And 9 out of 10 times, that what a cheap 1 carat will be.
But not this stone:
This particular diamond is a steal, because it’s not I3, not I2, not even I1 clarity, it’s SI2.
SI2 clarity means that the diamond is eye-clean (as seen in the magnified photo below), and that you would need a microscope to see the flaws. It’s beautiful.
Take a peek:

1.00, SI2, K, EX, VG, NONE | $1,770 | VIEW |
(price good at the time of this post)
And as you can see, this diamond has a lot going for it; GIA diamond report, excellent polish, very good symmetry, no fluorescence, 1.00 carat weight on the dot…
A wonderful radiant cut diamond…
That only has one slight downfall:
The color: K
K color grade is faint yellow. And yes, you can see a faint yellow cast in the diamond. That’s the only thing holding this diamond back…
And the reason it’s so cheap!
But come on, it’s only $1,770. That’s what you would normally pay for a 50 point diamond.
It’s a great opportunity to get a large diamond, that faces up well, for one low-low price.
Just stick it in a yellow gold mounting (which will mask the diamond color) and it will be a stunning engagement ring.
Take a closer look at this diamond HERE at James Allen.
P.S. There was one more 1 carat diamond (princess cut) that sells for $1,770 as well… It’s this diamond HERE. That’s what a low priced 1 carat normally looks like; full of black carbon and inclusions.
CARAT, CLARITY, COLOR, POL, SYM, FLUOR | PRICE | VIEW |
1.04, I1, I, EX, VG, FAINT | $1,770 | VIEW |
So there is a big difference in looks from the radiant cut and princess cut, all for the same price.
That’s why the radiant cut is a gorgeous stone, and one hell of a deal!
Cheers! :)
