Carat weight is often Bewildering to some people.
There’s so many Points and Carats and Percentages to learn…
But, it doesn’t need to be Difficult…
As long as you know the Trick!
The Trick is, to think about Carat Weight as Money.
For there’s 100 Points in a 1.00 Carat Diamond.
Well, think of that like a Dollar Bill ($1.00)
A Dollar Bill is made up of 100 Pennies.
Think of those as Points.
And that’s the gist of Carat Weight.
1.00 Carat is 100 Points.
Weight = Money!
Just like this next image shows…
It’s as Simple as that!
So 47 Points, would be .47 Carat (just 3 Pts. Shy of a Half Carat).
80 Points, would be .80 Carat, and that’s 5 Points bigger than a 3/4 Carat Diamond (.75).
20 Points, is .20 Carat, or 1/5 of a Carat.
It’s like Two Dimes!
If only everything was this easy! Money makes Sense.
Now see how these Carats face up on Solitaire Ring…
HOW BIG WILL IT LOOK ON HER FINGER?
This is what everyone wants to know.
To answer this, you really need to know How Wide her Finger is first, and then How Wide the Diamond is.
A Size 6 Ring (Default Size) has a mm Width of 16.45 across. So you’d have to Buy her a 16 carat Diamond to actually fill that entire width of her finger…
HA! And that’s not going to happen!
So maybe this image will help you decide which Carat Weight is Best for you…
Now doesn’t that make Carat Weight easier?
I thought so! :)
