If you’re thinking about buying a man a chain, say for his birthday, anniversary, christmas, or father’s day, then there are a few ideal choices I’d like to show you.
For the best styles are ones that are durable, masculine, and won’t get caught, tangled, or kinked.
And it also comes down to comfort, design, and price.
But first, some pointers…
- Buy a chain of at least 20″. Men generally don’t wear chokers, and 20″ is a pretty average length that looks good and works for most men. Unless they’re bigger men, then go for a 24″
- Make sure it has a durable clasp. Meaning, buy a lobster clasp, barrel clasp, or tab clasp. Don’t buy the cheap spring ring clasps, those will pull open and break in a heartbeat.
- Stick with Stainless Steel if you can. Steel is extremely durable, won’t tarnish, rust, turn colors or fade. Plus, Stainless Steel is going to be the most inexpensive option yet!
- Don’t buy a flat chain. Flat chains, or chains that have a bending point, will break. So if you can’t bend the chain up without harming it, don’t buy it.
So now, let’s take a look at the best sellers, the chains that I recommend for men…
Keep in mind:
- The thicker the chain is, the more durable it will be.
- Don’t buy hollow chains. They may be light weight and cheap, but they’ll get dented, crushed and ruined, and then there’s no way to fix them.
- Make sure the links are independently soldered, that way they won’t pull apart if tugged.
And that’s it!
You can buy Titanium chains as well, but I really prefer Stainless Steel.
Plus, Steel chains are way cheaper than Gold Chains any day!
Cheers! :)
